The aerial tram across the Gauja is the only vehicle of its type in the Baltic States. It was installed in 1969 with the help of engineers from Georgia. The crossing is 1060 m long, and the cable which crosses the river is just one cable without any supports. The tram rides about 40 metres above the river, and it offers an outstanding look at the local landscapes. During the evening, the tram is used by Bungee jumpers.

В элейской сыроварне (по предварительной записи!) можно продегустировать сделанные в хозяйстве семьи Малкалнсов сыры (семь видов, также копченые и выдержанные). Один из них – французский сыр, который появился в сотрудничестве с французским сыроваром Эрибером. Небольшие группы принимают и в «Блуджи» Сесавской волости (в 7 км от Элеи). Пекут хлеб, перерабатывают овощи (томатный сок) и готовят другие дары села.

Atrodas skaistā vietā – Elernes loka ziemeļdaļā, Daugavas senielejas malā. Mūsdienās redzamais dievnams celts no tēstiem laukakmeņiem iepriekšējo vietā laikā no 1934. - 1961. gadam. Pēc baznīcas uzcelšanas padomju vara tajā izvietoja klubu, tādēļ draudze baznīcu atguva tikai 1989. gadā. Šīs vietas agrākais nosaukums – Naujene (Novene) ir lietuviešu cilmes. Savukārt, Juzefovas vārds cēlies no vietējā muižnieka Juzefa (Jezupa) Šadurska.

The viewing tower was built quite recently. At its foot is a location for relaxation. It offers a good view of one of the curves of the Daugava River – the Adamova curve. A bit beyond is the Curves of Daugava Nature Park. Along the tower is the “Saulkrasti Trail” bicycle route.

The River Pēterupe (46 km long) in its lower reaches flows by the sea, and it is one of the longest parts of the river along the picturesque coastline. In the past the River Pēterupe had several names: Pērļupe, Tarupe, Tara (in Livonian: the River of God or the Holy River). Вишки как населенный пункт образовался на земле усадьбы Вишкю. В 19-ом веке населенный пункт получил статус города. В 1921 году в Вишках была открыта зимняя сельскохозяйственная школа, а в 1926 году - однолетняя школя домоводства. Во время Второй мировой войны – в 1943 году здесь была основана Вишкская садоводческая и  пчеловодческая школа, а после войны – Вишкский садоводческий (позднее - сельскохозяйственный) техникум. Мероприятия, связанные с образованием, стали причиной, почему центр Вишек не похож на центр "типичного" села. Здесь на большой территории можно увидеть ухоженные ландшафтные насаждения, дендрологический парк (с 1936 года), яблоневые сады, за которыми до сих пор активно ухаживают. Имеется возможность договориться об экскурсии с местным гидом, который хорошо знает парк. Можно погулять по Вишкам и индивидуально.

Das Museum befindet sich in der Festung von Kopgalis. Im Aquarium des Museums sind Fische und Tiere der Ostsee und anderer Meere und Ozeane zu sehen. Eine Ausstellung. Pinguine und Seehunde. In den Pulverkellern der Festung ist eine Ausstellung der Seefhrt Litauens, aber auf den Bollwerken eine Ausstellung der Gewehr eingerichtet. Das einzige Delfinarium im Baltikum.

Atrodas Kraujā – Daugavas ielejas krasta malā un nogāzēs. Atrodama informācija, ka šajā vietā Livonijas kara laikā atradusies krievu karaspēka nometne. Muižas nosaukums cēlies no vācu Hof zum Berg – „Kalnu muiža”. Pēdējie muižas īpašnieki līdz 1. pasaules karam bija grāfu Šahno dzimtas pārstāvji. Viens no tiem – Marians Šahno 1910. gadā uzceļ muižas pili, kas bija būvēta eklektisma formās. Daļēji nojaukta tā pārdzīvo padomju laikus, līdz 2002. gadā nodeg. Līdz mūsdienām saglabājušās vien ēkas sienas, kuras slēpj biezs augājs. Var tikai iedomāties, kādi skati šeit kādreiz pavērušies uz Daugavas ieleju! Muižas parks ir vietējo iedzīvotāju pastaigu vieta.

This lovely territory includes the hillocks of Embūte, which are in the ancient Embūte valley. The aim of establishing the park was to protect the landscape, biotopes and species of the region. An ecological tourism trail has been established in the valley, as has a forest trail through the nature park (accessibly only in the company of a guide). Visitors will learn about the hillocks and ravines left behind by the Ice Age. The ravines and the forests along their sides are protected biotopes. There are also important natural and cultural monuments, including the Embūte castle hill and the ruins of a baronial estate, castle and church. Other points of interest include the death place of the Courlandian warrior Indulis, the Joda dam, meadows, a viewing tower, etc. Three unmarked bicycle trails are in the area.

The ancient Abava River Valley between Kandava and the place where the river flows into the Venta River is the most expressive river valley segment in Kurzeme in terms of landscape and terrain. The valley is 30 to 40 metres deep and as much as 300 metres wide. The territory is distinguished by great diversity of a biological nature (more than 800 kinds of plants), featuring many different biotopes and natural monuments such as streams, waterfalls, cliffs, huge rocks, and many cultural and historical monumentssmall towns such as Kandava and Sabile. In both cases, the town centres are national monuments of urban construction. Popular tourist destinations include Vīnakalns hill in Sabile, where wine-making grapes are grown, as well as the open-air art museum at Pedvāle. To protect cultural treasures, a cultural and historical territory, “Abava River Valley” has been established. Wild livestock live at Drubazas and Tēvkalni to “maintain” the landscape. There are nature trails for tourists, and the Abava is the most popular river for water tourists in Kurzeme. In the centre of Līgatne, on the right bank on the rapid Līgatne River, there is a viewing plan which offers a close-up look at one of the most impressive sandstone cliffs which rise above it – the Lustūzis cliff. There are artificial caves in the wall of the cliff, which locals use as cellars and as places to store their property.
