This is one of the largest high-type swamps (6,192 ha) in Latvia, with very distinct landscapes of little lakes and hillocks.  The Great Ķemeri Heath is of importance as an extensive hydrological system and preserver of the local microclimate.  It is also of international importance as a site for birds, as well as a major source of sulphurous water.  Along the Kalnciems-Kūdra road, which is on the eastern edge of the swamp (3.4 km from the Rīga-Ventspils highway), there is an information stand with information about the management of the heath and about the role of swamps in nature and in the lives of people.  Great Ķemeri Heath wooden pathway trail is now restored and opened for visitors in 2013.

The Brasla River flows through a lovely valley that is approximately 300 m wide and up to 30 m deep. It is near the Inčukalns-Valka highway. The river has among the most beautiful rapids in the country, with mighty cliffs (the Brasla cliffs) that can be seen at nearly every curve in the river (except along the lowest reaches of the river). During the winter, various unusual frozen waterfalls can be seen in some of the cliffs, including the Krauļukalns cliff and the Jāņavārti cliff. On the left bank of the Brasla, opposite the Brasla fish farm, there are the Aņīte cliffs -- a series of sandstone cliffs that are 1 km long. The cliffs are between 2 and 35 m in height, and the sandstone cliffs are separated by ravines. On the right bank of the Brasla, there are major cliffs such as the Vāršavu cliff, the Kraukļukalns cliff, the Jāņavārti cliff, the Slūnu cliff, the Virtaka cliff and the Buļi cliff. How can you best learn about them? Boat down the river from the aforementioned highway or even from Straupe, which is further upstream. An alternative is hiking down the right bank of the river, though please take into account that the terrain is fairly extreme, and you are going to have to think about what to do when you arrive at the place where the Brasla River flows into the Gauja.

Впервые Кримулдская усадьба упоминается в летописях XVI века. Теперь роскошные колоны Кримулдского замка видны на склоне правого коренного берега  старицы Гауи напротив Сигулдского фуникулера. Как на замок (с противоположного берега и фуникулера), так и со стороны замка приоткрывается великолепный вид на старицу Гауи. Кримулдский замок строился в XIX веке в стиле неоклассицизма, и первым владельцем был князь Ливен (см. описание к № 18). В 20-е годы XX в. после отчуждения замок перешел  в собственность Латвийского Красного Креста, где разместился детский санаторий. В наши дни в замковой усадьбе  находится реабилитационная больница «Кримулда», из хозяйственных построек сохранились конюшни господской усадьбы, хлев, дом прислуги, управляющего и швейцарский дом. В целях осмотра Кримулдской господской усадьбы проводятся образовательные экскурсии, предлагается ночлег.

Pokaiņu mežs atrodas 13 kilometru attālumā no Dobeles, braucot Īles virzienā. Tas, izvietojies uz stāviem pauguriem un dziļām ielejām, veido neparasti gleznainu ainavu. Mežā grupās, kaudzēs, akmens upēs un valnīšos, atrodas slavenie Pokaiņu akmeņu krāvumi. Krāvumi daudziem cilvēkiem liek sajust savdabīgus enerģijas strāvojumus - vieni redz vīzijas, bet citi – uztver informācijas plūsmu. Takas ved pa pagurainu apvidu.

The area is in the centre of the Teirumnīki swamp, alongside a lake of the same name. There is a wooden footpath that crosses the swamp (800 metres). This is an excellent opportunity to study a high swamp, a swamp lake, and the surrounding environment.

Atrodas Labraga – Apriķu ceļa malā. Kāds nostāsts vēsta, ka to 1896. gadā cēlis vietējais muižkungs, kurš vēlējies, lai viņa meitas laulības notiktu baznīcā. Dievnamā atrodas altārglezna "Kristus pie krusta un Sv. Marija Magdalēna", kas gleznota 19. gadsimtā (autors T. Šprengels).

Для уменьшения засорения устья реки и регулирования течения в середине 19-го века был построен Восточный мол протяженностью 980 м. В основании мола находится деревянная свайная конструкция, закрытая камнями. Современный мол протяженностью 2,2 км был восстановлен в наше время и служит любимым местом для прогулок, отдыха и рыбалки во все времена года. С мола можно наблюдать за птицами, изредка может посчастливиться увидеть тюленя. В начале мола находятся два камня, выбитый на которых текст гласит, что строительство мола посетили российский император Александр II (в 1856-м году) и наследник престола Николай Александрович (в 1860-м году). Этот факт возвышает значение Рижского порта в контексте торговый путей Балтийского моря того времени.

Ramocku stacija  atklāta  1889. gadā  reizē ar dzelzceļa Pleskava-Rīga atklāšanu. 1916.gadā pēc jauna dzelzceļa izbūves līdz Gulbenei, šīs stacijas nozīme ievērojami pieauga. 1918.gadā tā kļuva par divu dažādu sliežu platumu dzelzceļa  iecirkņu saskares  staciju. Intensīva vilcienu kustība caur šo staciju tika izvērsta Brīvības cīņu laikā. Sadursmes pie Ieriķu stacijas notika  jau 1918.gada decembrī. 1919.gadā jūnijā te sākās Cēsu kaujas. Starp Cēsīm un Ieriķiem vācieši uzbruka igauņu bruņuvilcienam. Par dažādiem nopelniem Brīvības cīņu laikā Ieriķu apkaimē, vairāki karavīri saņēma apbalvojumus, arī Lācplēša kara ordeņus.1919. gadā stacija nodēvēta par Ieriķiem. Otrā pasaules kara laikā te atradās lokomotīvju depo.1953.gadā depo vietā izveidoja stratēģiskās rezerves tvaika lokomotīvju bāzi. Pēdējā tvaika lokomotīve L-3599 Ieriķu bāzi pameta 2002.gadā un tagad ir redzama kinopilsētā Cinevilla.Ieriķu stacija vairākkārt pārbūvēta.Otrā pasaules kara laikā nodedzināta pavisam. 1956.gadā uzbūvē pašreizējo ēku.

The private museum of antiquities of Zigurds Safranovičš was founded in May 2010. The collection of the museum contains around 50 thousand objects, of which 99% of exhibits have been donated. The oldest and rarest, according to legend, 300-year-old item – Ernst Glick's refrigerator.

The museum's surroundings are a large park of the former Baron Wulf's estate, where it is currently possible to spend the night in tents, as well as available rest areas - canopies, fire places, grills, utensils for cooking, etc., drinking water (from a well), available electricity for telephones, cameras, etc. for charging. For larger groups (starting from 10 people), porridge cooked on the fire.

This collection contains bicycles from five different armies and five different eras in the history of Latvia. They include a World War I bicycle from the Russian Empire, a bicycle from the Latvian army, two World War II German bicycles, and a Monark-brand military bicycle from Sweden that was donated to the renewed Latvian army in the 1990s. The exhibition also features items that are related to the use of military bicycles – seals, awards, and information about the bicycle units of Latvia’s Home Guard. This is the only bicycle museum in Latvia, and its exhibits are unique, as well.

Здесь установлен памятный камень К. Валдемару, говорящий о его заслугах на благо создания и развития Латвийского государства. На этом месте когда-то находилась Ройская или Лубэзерская мореходная школа, рядом с которой находился учительский дом, сохранившийся до наших дней. Сейчас здесь расположена Ройская частная практика семейных врачей. Мореходная школа просуществовала с 1873-го по 1915-й годы, но во время Первой мировой войны она была разрушена. Мореходная школа готовила штурманов каботажного плавания. Здесь можно было учиться бесплатно и учебный материал освоить на латышском языке. This lime swamp of grasses is in an area among dunes which floods from time to time, and it is an important location for many protected plants. The swamp is easily surveyed from the forested dunes which are on the south-eastern side of the swamp.
