By the beekeeping farm “Kalniņi” there is a Bee Hut – small wooden house in which you can feel the presence of bees. The hives with seven bee families are built-in the sides of the Bee Hut, but inside the building they are designed as beds or seats. When looking at the building from the outside you can see the bee runs and also bees themselves. In addition, “Kalniņi” also offer different types of bee products – honey, pollen bread, beautiful and aromatic wax candles. It is possible to taste beekeeping products and enjoy a cap of warm tea. Families with kids can participate in educational workshops, learn how to make wax candles and gain information about the daily life in the beekeeping farm. Since summer 2018 everyone can also visit the House of Crafts, where you can participate in different activities such as Encaustic painting (also known as hot wax painting), create wooden souvenirs with burnt folk signs as well as create wax candles etc. The House of Crafts offers different itineraries for grownups, kids, youngsters and newlyweds. There you can also purchase the offered products - various flower honey, pollen, pollen bread, propolis, cell honey and wax candles. |

Das Restaurant befindet sich am Rande einer Steilküste und bietet während des Sonnenuntergangs von seiner Sommerterrasse eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Ostsee. Das Restaurant arbeitet mit Fischern zusammen. Lettische Küche: Kalte Suppe, Fischsuppe, Graupengrütze, graue Erbsen mit Speck und Zwiebeln, Hering mit Kartoffeln und Quark, geschichtetes Roggenbrot-Dessert, dünne Pfannkuchen mit Marmelade, Sorbet aus Rhabarbern oder Sanddornbeeren. Der Hof „Vilki“ ist Arboretum und Baumschule zugleich, gelegen inmitten der landwirtschaftlich geprägten Landschaft Semgallens in der Gemeinde Svete. Den Besuchern werden Führungen durch das Arboretum und das Territorium des Hofs geboten, wo man 1000 Pflanzen der verschiedensten Arten und Herkunft besichtigen kann. Gezüchtet werden Zierbäume und Ziersträucher, mehrjährige Blumen, Heil- und Gewürzpflanzen. Es gibt einen alten Obstgarten, wo die alten Apfelsorten und andere entsprechend gekennzeichnet sind. Zudem wird Beratung bei der Grünflächengestaltung geboten. Auf dem Hof kann man auch die alte Rasse der Lettischen Blauen Kühe antreffen. Für Besucher steht hier ein Picknickplatz zur Verfügung. |

The Museum is situated in the place, where during the times of World War II the battles between the soldiers of Latvian and Soviet armies took place.The main subject of the museum is the history of Latvians during World War II and the battle of More. On the second floor of the museum the guide will tell you about the history of crafts and will show you the exhibition of household objects. Das Café befindet sich an der Umleitung von Jelgava zwischen Lielupe und Vircava. Hier werden Speisen aus Fleisch- und Milchprodukten der Region Zemgale und aus selbstgezüchtetem Gemüse angeboten. Das Café arbeitet mit dem Hirschgarten Rudiņi zusammen. Lettische Küche: Medaillons aus Schweinfilet im Bacon mit Zwiebelmarmelade, Wildschweinschinken mit Zwiebeln in Sahne, geschmortes Hirschfleisch mit Kartoffel- und Blumenkohlpüree, Kartoffelpfannkuchen mit Lachs in Sahne. Das Erholungsheim „Baltās anemones“ befindet sich an einer landschaftlich sehr reizvollen Stelle, am rechten Ufer der Lielupe in der Nähe von Mežotne. Vom Staudamm im Fluss neben dem Erholungsheim hat man eine hervorragende Sicht auf den Aufschluss von Ziedoni am linken Flussufer und auf die Dolomitsteine im Park von Mežotne auf der rechten Flussseite. In den Hängen zur Lielupe sind Beete angelegt, wo Gemüse angebaut wird: Kürbisse, Gurken, Salat, Tomaten, Rote Beete, Kartoffeln und auch Gewürzpflanzen. Zudem wurde ein Garten mit Obstbäumen und Beerensträuchern angelegt. Neben einem breiten Angebot im Hofladen werden Führungen durch die Felder des Hofes angeboten. |

In der geerbten Wirtschaft (Wohnhaus aus Holz mit dekorativen Zargen und Fensterläden) stellen die Wirte nach alten und modernen Rezepten Käse aus der Milch her, die aus den auf diesem Hof gezüchteten Kühen gemolken wird. Die Besucher können hier Milch, Sauermilch, Buttermilch und andere Milchprodukte verkosten, sowie den Herstellungsprozess beocbachten und an dem Prozess teilnehmen. |

The KUKŪZES weekend house is in the town of Sēbruciems in the Babīte Parish, which is a quiet territory near Rīga. We offer accommodations in two weekend huts in a forested area with a view of a nice pond. Both huts are equipped with everything that you will need to relax. The huts have room for two to four adults or for a family with kids. Each hut has a pull-down bed and a sofa bed. There are also cribs for babies. You’ll have access to utensils to cook food, various types of food, tea, coffee, an electric stove, a refrigerator, an electric ta kettle, a coffee machine for coffee lovers, and a grill outside the huts.
