"Open Days in the Countryside 2022"

► "Open Days in the Countryside" is a Latvian travel and discovery event that has already become a tradition. This year, we are organizing the event at the beginning of summer, inviting all interested parties to visit entrepreneurs from Latvian regions and get to know their rich offer.
► The aim of the event is to popularize the countryside - products grown, produced, prepared in the countryside and services provided , as well as to interest residents in getting to know rural life, tasting rural delights, finding a company from which to purchase products and goods grown and produced in the countryside for everyday use, as well as enjoying the activities and sensations that can be experienced in the countryside.
Many rural businesses in Latvia will be open to visitors, each company will welcome guests with its own special offer .
► "Open Days in the Countryside" are attended by accommodation providers, craftsmen, bathhouse owners, food producers, beekeepers, plant growers, large farms, castles and manors, amusement parks, country inns and restaurants, nature trails and many others. All event participants can be found in the " Event Participants " or " Map " sections.
Why go to the countryside during Open Days?
- Firstly, during the event days, hosts offer discounts, specially prepared programs. As part of the event, companies organize educational tours, games, food tastings, and also offer more friendly prices for their products and services.
- Secondly, it is a unique opportunity to visit farmers who devote more time to production on a daily basis or can be found with their products at markets, but this time they will be on their farms and will be waiting for you - their guests.
- Thirdly, at no other time will so many different farms be open to guests at the same time – so this is a good opportunity to go on a trip with many interesting destinations.
Attention travelers:
- When planning your route, be sure to register your visit ! You will find contact information in the " Event participants " or " Map " sections when opening the specific offer.
- Pay attention to the date and time of the participant's offer! The standard event time is from 10:00-18:00 or as indicated in each participant's offer.
- For most of the "Open Day in the Countryside" participants, payments will only be possible in cash!
