Эти дома находятся вблизи от хорошо оборудованных лыжных трасс. Многие из них предлагают гостям также и катание на коньках на расчищенном пруду около дома, катание на санях, запряжённых лошадьми, езду на снегоходах, спуск с гор на санках и даже подлёдный лов рыбы. Можно заказать и ужин, и баню.

Что нужно знать о катании на лыжах в Балтии?
Первый снег в странах Балтии обычно выпадает в ноябре, но настоящий лыжный сезон начинается только с Рождественских праздников и продолжается почти до конца марта. Средняя температура воздуха зимой – 2°C, самый холодный месяц – январь. Больше всего снега в Балтии выпадает в южной части Эстонии и Северо-восточной части Латвии – там расположены и самые популярные благоустроенные лыжные трассы  разной степени сложности с подъемниками, освещением и устройствами для искусственного оснежения. Невдалеке имеются кафе и пункты проката инвентаря, где можно арендовать не только слаломные лыжи, ботинки для слалома и сноуборд, но и лыжный костюм.
