Skiing

Häuser in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft gut erschlossener Skihänge und Waldloipen sind mit diesem Symbol gekennzeichnet. Viele von ihnen offerieren auch Eislaufbahnen auf hauseigenen Teichen, Spazierfahrten im Pferdeschlitten, Schneemotorrad, Schlittenfahren oder Eisangeln. Auf Wunsch Verköstigung und Landsauna.

Skifahren im Baltikum
In den baltischen Ländern fällt der erste Schnee meist im November, die eigentliche Skisaison beginnt jedoch um die Weihnachtszeit und dauert gewöhnlich bis Ende März. Der kälteste Monat ist der Januar, die Tiefsttemperaturen können unter -20°C betragen. Die schneereichsten Gebiete im Baltikum sind das südliche Estland und der Nordosten Lettlands; hier befinden sich auch die beliebtesten Skipisten verschiedener Schwierigkeitsgrade, die mit Beleuchtung, Skilift und Schneekanonen ausgestattet sind. Zum weiteren Service gehören nahegelegene Cafés bzw. Restaurants und Ski-Verleihe, wo auch Schuhe, Skikleidung und Snowboards ausgeliehen werden können.

Rehabilitacijas centrs LIGATNE

Alongside the Gauja in the forests of Līgatne, we offer single, double, triple and quadruple rooms with all conveniences, some of them recently restored.  We offer a sauna, pool and massage bath.  There are facilities for celebrations and seminars for 15 to 180 people, with an Internet connection and everything that is necessary for seminars.  Professional rehabilitation specialists offer their services.  We also offer tours of a secret Soviet bunker which was known as the “Retirement Home.”
