In the Berzini homestead they bake exceptionally tasty wheat and rye bread in accordance with the old folk recipes. The taste and smell is the result of baking bread in a special oven which is more than 70 years old. It is possible to order bread, or, having booked a visit beforehand,  to make and bake your own bread loaf. The owners will teach you bread baking traditions and use recipes from their ancestors to bake loaves in a true bread oven.

The Brasla River flows through a lovely valley that is approximately 300 m wide and up to 30 m deep. It is near the Inčukalns-Valka highway. The river has among the most beautiful rapids in the country, with mighty cliffs (the Brasla cliffs) that can be seen at nearly every curve in the river (except along the lowest reaches of the river). During the winter, various unusual frozen waterfalls can be seen in some of the cliffs, including the Krauļukalns cliff and the Jāņavārti cliff. On the left bank of the Brasla, opposite the Brasla fish farm, there are the Aņīte cliffs -- a series of sandstone cliffs that are 1 km long. The cliffs are between 2 and 35 m in height, and the sandstone cliffs are separated by ravines. On the right bank of the Brasla, there are major cliffs such as the Vāršavu cliff, the Kraukļukalns cliff, the Jāņavārti cliff, the Slūnu cliff, the Virtaka cliff and the Buļi cliff. How can you best learn about them? Boat down the river from the aforementioned highway or even from Straupe, which is further upstream. An alternative is hiking down the right bank of the river, though please take into account that the terrain is fairly extreme, and you are going to have to think about what to do when you arrive at the place where the Brasla River flows into the Gauja.

SIA N. Bomja bakery “Lielezers” is a sole proprietor enterprise of Normunds Bomis, founded in 1991 and located 3 km from Limbaži. The story of this bakery started more than 25 years ago, when craftsman Alberts Blumbergs’ knowledge and experience was put into practice and very delicious rye bread was made. In the bakery, traditional salinātā rye bread is made by hand, maturing scalded flour in aspen tubs for 24 hours and fermenting with sourdough. Salinātā rye bread is registered in the EU food quality scheme as a product with traditional speciality guaranteed. Bread baking is led by the experienced master bakers Lāsma Bome and Valters Kanopa. Offer tours in the bakery and tasting.

Atrodas 0,3 km ziemeļos no Vecpiebalgas pilsdrupām. Ap 10 m augsto, bet visnotaļ izteiksmīgo Grišku kalnu sauc arī par Piebalgas, Balgas un Veļķu pilskalnu. 13. gs. šeit bijusi svarīga apmetnes vieta ar mākslīgi nostāvinātām nogāzēm un dziļu aizsarggrāvi. Vēstures notikumi ir atstājuši ap metru biezu kultūrslāni. Bezlapu laikā no kalna paveras skats uz Vecpiebalgas baznīcu un pilsdrupu vietu. Pilskalna piekājē ir aka ar Griškavotu.

Lieliska vieta svinībām vai atpūtai Minijas ielejā Žemaitijā. Kafejnīca 100 pers. un konferenču zāle, kuras izvietotas 6 ha lielajā teritorijā. Spēļu laukumi gan bērniem, gan pieaugušajiem. The potter uses the black (smoke) technique to create his artworks, and he uses clay from Latgale. He uses no industrial equipment in his work, and the kiln is fired with firewood. You can watch as he creates dishware on a foot-powered potter’s wheel and talks about the firing process. You can work with clay and purchase finished products.

The Ferris wheel that is in Sigulda is on the corner of Leona Paegles and Cēsu streets, and it is only open during the summer. If you ride the wheel, you can take lovely snapshots of the ancient Gauja River valley.
