The farm has a herd of horses and buys horses which confirm to historical demands related to breeds of animals. You can learn to ride a horse in the company of an instructor and in a limited area. During the summer, there are cart rides, while in the winter there are sleigh rides. The horses are also used for weddings and other ceremonies.

The farm, which has been developed around the servants’ home of the former Ķempēni Estate, breeds more than 200 Latvian dark-headed sheep. Visitors can purchase meat, wool and skins, also taking part in informational tours with tastings of various foods, as well as catching and tasting trout (this is available only to those who spend the night at the venue).

It is possible to look at different animals at the farm – horses, goats, rabbits, dogs, cats and marmots. It is possible to participate in farming tasks and try out farm instruments, to learn the steps of ancient dances, to walk along the animal paths and to taste pancakes baked on the open fire with goat cheese. This farm is in a lovely location that offers a view of Lake Sauka. He breeds cattle which spend all year long on the sides of nearby hillocks. The owner will offer you a tour, show you the animals, and offer sweet cherries and apples from his garden.

The Lācīši farm can be found in the Galgauska Parish to the Southwest of Gulbene.  One of the largest farms in Northeastern Vidzeme, it specialises in grain farming (577 ha), rapeseed farming (295 ha), and various grasses.  It is also a dairy farm with some 100 cows to produce meat and breed calves.  There is an interesting room for meetings and presentations, with large glass windows opening up to the cattle barn.  The farm actively makes use of EU funding.  Contact the farm in advance for tours and exchanges of experiences.

This is the most modern rabbit farm in the Baltic States. The animals live in cages in a shed, but there are also cages outside where they can be viewed. Children will love contacts with 24 types of rabbits, as well as an opportunity to study the surrounding area from a viewing tower. If you apply in advance, you can purchase fresh rabbit meat, sausages, dried meats and pâté. A new thing at the farm is the Mangalicas breed of wild pigs from Hungary.

The farm breeds breeding cows (Galloway, Hereford, Limousine, Charolais and Latvian brown species). You can take an informational tour and watch the feeding of calves.
