Bogshoes are like snowshoes – except you wear them in bogs when there is no snow. Bogshoes have been used to walk on wetlands throughout the times. These footwear allow us access to the places where it is hard or even impossible to reach by foot.

A garden of feelings, where peonies smell, birds sing and the heart rejoices! About 730 peonies of different varieties grow in the garden of "Romju pojenes", which will delight every visitor with their variety of scents, colors and shapes.

The Baltās anemones centre is in a lovely place on the right bank of the Lielupe River near Mežotne.  The lowlands feature a guesthouse with a lovely look at cliffs on the left bank of the river and dolomite cliffs on the right bank.  Along the river are fields of vegetables, including pumpkins, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, beets, potatoes and herbs, along with a fruit and berry garden.  The lady of the house will offer products for sale, as well as an informative tour of the fields.

The “Upenite” country house is located on the southern shore of Lake Ciritis. This farm nurtures Lettigalian traditions, serves Lettigalian foods, produces dairy products (including cheeses), grows local plants (which you can purchase), and offers a chance to visit a proper Lettigalian black sauna. The surrounding landscape of the park with a pergola, a bridge, a forest and fields creates a very tranquil countryside atmosphere that can be experienced just a short drive away from the capital city. The hostess makes wines and offers tasting of different sorts. She also demonstrates cooking of traditional Latvian desserts. The place is also popular for weddings and post-wedding photo sessions.

On the west coast of the Gulf of Riga, in the Lapmezciems municipality, there is a family-owned company "Reinis-B" specializing in the production of hot smoked fish products. Reinis-B specializes in the production of smoked fish products, using only natural alder wood during the smoking process. Offering both local and overseas fish, prepared after a variety of smoked recipes and traditions. You can buy Reinis-B products in several places in Latvia: Ragaciema Fish Market, various fairs and exhibitions. In cooperation with the market of Mara, depending on the date, products can be bought in Salaspils, Bauska, Dobele, Jelgava, Kauguri and Riga's "Rimi" squares. A biological farm in the lovely nature park of the Ogre River valley.  You can tour the farm to see how biological cattle from the Charolais breed are bred.  Walk down our nature trails to watch cows grazing in the fields.  Visit the little Akmeņupīte stream and the large oak trees that are in the area.  You can see the rapids of the Ogre River and, in the spring, broad fields of ramsons.  The venue offers tastings of its products, and you can also purchase meat to take along with you.
