A marked hiking route (a guide will be needed) begins at the Jēči windmill, which was built in 1878. Nearby is a dendrology park and a collection of rocks. You will learn about moraines and other geological features in the region, study various kinds of swamps, see the unique piles of rock at Pugas, as well as the Kraujiņi rock. The route is 7 or 5 km in length, returning at the starting point, and it will take some four hours to traverse. Be sure to put on waterproof boots!

This is the most impressive and colourful set of cliffs along the Vidzeme coastline. Waves have created the steep shore that is as much as 6 m high, with several hundred meters of red sandstone cliffs with narrow caves, niches, grottos and other formations. The nearby Veczemu farm is where the Rīga Film Studio shot the films “Long Way into the Dunes” and “The Nest of the Old Fisherman.”

The construction of the state began in the early 20th century. The mansion was built of bricks and fieldstones between 1905 and 1911 in the styles of Historicism and Art Nouveau. The estate was owned by engineer and professor Stanislav Kerbedz from St Petersburg, the first Russian engineer to develop principles for the architectonic aspects of bridges. These were used during the latter half of the 19th century, and Kerbedz led the construction of the Nikolayev bridge across the Neva River in St Petersburg. Kerbedz’s wife, Yevgenia, was well known as a lover of art, and she brought various art objects to the estate from Italy. The Lūznava Estate was a popular place for gatherings of artists during the summers. Among those to visit was the distinguished Lithuanian painter and composer Mikalojus Čiurlionis. The estate is surrounded by a 23.7 ha landscape park with a system of ponds. Near the estate is a statue of the Madonna, which was carved by an unknown Italian artist. The statue was damaged and thrown into a pond during World War II, but it was restored in 1991. Reconstruction of the main building of the estate was complete in 2015, and today it is a modern and international centre for environmental education and the arts. |

This fairly large wooden bridge across the Rīva River is a fairly unique phenomenon in Latvia, but it is one of few, if not the only bridge of its type. The bridge is in a convenient and easily accessed place, and of interest is the fact that it was once part of the Liepāja-Ventspils railroad that was installed during the first half of the 20th century. |

Kihnu is the largest island in the Gulf of Riga with an area of 16.4 km2, it is only 7 km long and 3.3 km wide. There are four villages on the island and the unique atmosphere of the island can be experienced by visiting a local family at Kuraga Farm. Three generations live in this farm and are happy to welcome guests. |

In Vecslabada, there is a peninsula among Lake Dziļezers, Lake Audzeļi, and Lake Istra. From the highest point on the peninsula, you will see a truly unusual view of the land of the blue lakes – lake islands, as well as the village of Vecslabada with its church towers. The Lake Istra nature reserve is nearby.

The River Pēterupe (46 km long) in its lower reaches flows by the sea, and it is one of the longest parts of the river along the picturesque coastline. In the past the River Pēterupe had several names: Pērļupe, Tarupe, Tara (in Livonian: the River of God or the Holy River). The historic area of Saulkrasti – Pēterupe Village was located on the right bank of the River Pēterupe. |

The church was built during the rule of Baron Otto Hermann von Fittinghof and built between 1781 and 1788 by the architect Christoph Haberland. Built in the style of Classicism, the church has elements of the Baroque style and a set of colourful rocks in a mosaic on the façade. The organ was built in 1855 by August Martin, and the bell was evacuated to Russia during World War I. The congregation replaced it with a much older bell (1530). The altar painting, “Baptism of Christ” was pained by an unknown artist and was restored in 2000. During the mid-19th century, there were many Estonians in the congregation, so worship services were held in Estonian, too. The church was restored in 1934, and now it dominates the city with its 55.5 m high tower. |

Vecauces ev. lut. baznīca ir valsts nozīmes arhitektūras piemineklis. Baznīca pirmo reizi uzcelta kā koka būve 1667. gadā, bet pēc zibens spēriena 1729. gadā tā nodega. Mūra baznīca celta 1744. gadā, savukārt 1866.gadā Mēdemu valdīšanas laikā baznīcu paplašināja līdz 500 sēdvietām, izgatavoja jaunu altāri, kanceli un uzstādīja Liepājas ērģeļmeistara Kārļa Hermaņa būvētas ērģeles. meklētājiem piedāvā doties interesantā, izklaidējošā un informatīvā ekskursijā pa baznīcu, apskatot ekspozīciju "Auce pirmās Latvijas brīvvalsts laikā" un baznīcas bibliotēku (Baznīcas grāmatas (pirmās Latvijas brīvvalsts laiks – 1918.-40.g., vācu laiks, padomju laiks un šodiena)). Baznīcā izveidotajā Mākslas telpā apskatei tiek piedāvātas vairākas unikālas ekspozīcijas: skolotājas Jadvigas Kupčes grāmatu un personīgo lietu ekspozīcija, kantātes “Dievs Tava zeme deg” vārdu autora Andreja Eglīša ekspozīcija, izcilā flamenko ģitārista Andreja Kārkliņa un režisora Kārļa Pamšes ekspozīcijas. |

The farm on the banks of the River Navesti is Estonia's largest company engaged in the cultivation and processing of organic medicinal herbs. The farm has an education and health path of medicinal herbs, open from May to September. The Energy Eco-Spa offers holiday, conference and accommodation services with a sauna. Spa experience is with local, ecologically grown herbs together with clay, peat and natural plant oils. Baths, wraps and massages help the body to function naturally and holistically. All the products are natural and fresh and are prepared just for you immediately before the treatment. Farm has a tea house completed in 2010 which is suitable for holding seminars, relaxing and in the summertime also for having meals. Herb presentations are held there - first on the field and then in the tea house. In the 1960s, the Soviet Union banned individual fishing in the sea, and the motor boats which had no other purpose were simply beached in the dunes. It is said that members of the Border Guard often set the boats on fire. Another story is that the Border Guard banned an ancient tradition of burning old boats on Summer solstice Eve. Along the road to the cemetery is the old net barn, which is a residential building today. |
