Nacionālo partizānu bunkurs izveidots balstoties uz savāktajām mežabrāļu atmiņām, dienasgrāmatu pierakstiem un fotogrāfijām. Uz bunkuru ved meža taka ar informāciju par dažādiem mežabrāļu piedzīvojumiem un cīņām. Bunkura pazemes daļā apskatāmi vēsturiskie priekšmeti, kas viņus pavadīja dzīvē un cīņā. Saimnieks piedāvā pastaigu pa meža taku, kur izvietota informācija par mežabrāļiem un slēpņu spēle bērniem. Ar iepriekšēju pieteikšanos iespējams iekļūt bunkurā un apskatīt iekārtotu bunkuru ar mežabrāļu izmantoto ieroču, munīcijas un citu priekšmetu ekspozīciju. This swampy territory used to be part of a Littorena Sea lagoon, and it is a place where many rare and protected birds such as woodpeckers live and nest. Territory is hard to reach although some of the territory can be surveyed from the Tukums-Kolka road. Wet meadows is called "lankas" in Kurzeme region. |

Starpiņupīte is an artificial canal
between Lake Kaņieris and the Bay of
Rīga. It helps to regulate the water level in
the lake with a system of locks. This is a
fine place for birdwatching in the spring
and autumn. From the sea, the location
can be identified via the place where the
little river flows into the sea.

This park is located in the northern part of the Žemaitija Highlands, and much of it is taken up by Lake Plateliai. The park was established to protect lakes, rivers, wetlands and forest ecosystems, as well as the local cultural environment.

Dabas taka atrodas Zaķumuižā un ved cauri vecajam muižas parkam, pa ceļam iespējams aplūkot simtgadīgus kokus, dažādus augus, kā arī dažādus kukaiņus, putnus. Taka ir veidota kā mācību taka un to veidojusi Zaķumuižas pamatskolas skolotāja. Taka ir 1,5 km gara. Tai ir vidējas grūtības pakāpe: takas reljefs ir samērā vienmērīgs, mērens, izņemot atsevišķus posmus (daži stāvumi un kritumi, dažviet nelīdzens reljefs), tāpēc īpaša fiziska sagatavotība pirms takas iziešanas nav nepieciešama. Vietās, kur reljefs ir stāvāks, izvietoti roku balsti, bet pāri muižas dīķu sistēmas ūdeņiem uzcelti divi tiltiņi.

The church was built between 1640 and 1642 as a mark of respect for the king of Poland. It was commissioned by Duke Jacob Kettler and has a confessional bench with allegoric paintings (1691), as well as three altars decorated with Rococo carvings. There is a 16th century sculpture of the Madonna and her child. Contact the church for a tour. |

Interesantā būve, kurai Baltijas valstīs grūti atrast līdzinieku, ir meklējama 2 km ziemeļaustrumos no Kirblas (Kirbla). 307,8 m garo arkveida tiltu pāri Kazari upei (Kasari jõgi) uzcēla 1904. g. deviņu mēnešu laikā. Tajā brīdī to uzskatīja par Eiropas garāko šāda tipa dzelzsbetona tiltu. Tagad to var šķērsot tikai ar kājām vai ar divriteni. Tumšajā diennakts laikā tilts ir skaisti izgaismots! Tā ievērojamais garums ir skaidrojams ar apstākli, ka pavasara palos Kazari palienes applūst lielās platībā. |

Kale is a traditional wooden sailing ship for trawling nets on Lake Võrtsjärv, but its graceful appearance with two triangular sails often inspired pleasure trips too. Võrtsjärve Foundation supported the building of the ship Paula, completed in 2005 and Liisu in 2009. Trips aboard a kaleship are a genuinely memorable experience. |

A gift shop in the old town of Cēsis near Rose Square, in the building of the former hotel "Baltischer Hof". The shop is named after the hotel's former owner, Karlīne. It is possible to buy gifts, handicraft items, souvenirs, as well as delicious homemade products, homemade wines and spirits here. |

The Kurzeme Peninsula has the largest landscape of hillocks and valleys in Europe in the shoreline segment from Melnsils and Kolka to Oviši and Liepene. It is a unique landscape in Latvia, and part of it is in the Slītere National Park. The Pēterezers Nature Trail offers the best chance to look at the landscape. There are hillocks and valleys elsewhere, too – near shoreline villages where the Kukšupe valley (one of the longest ones – 8 km in all) is crossed by the Ventspils-Kolka highway, as well as near Apakšceļš. The only thing is that you need to learn how to spot the areas out in nature. |

It is said that Krišjānis Valdemārs began to dream about a port at this location when he was a child, but a so-called protective port was only established in Roja in the early 20th century, with a protective dam 500 metres from the shore that was 213 m long. The dam gradually disappeared, and the port was shut down in 1933. Work on straightening the Roja River began in the 1930s, using a French machine to create berms and build rock dams and pile-based breakwaters that were subsequently extended several times. In 1932, fishermen built a 107 m breakwater. Reconstruction of the breakwaters was completed in 1972. The fishing kolkhoz Banga used to be active here, merging shoreline fishermen’s homesteads.
