This cycling route will take you from Riga along the West coast of the Baltic Sea of  Latvia and Lithuania.  On the way the route passes the sea resort Jurmala with 19th century wooden archicture, the picturesque Abava river valley, geologicaly interesting steep banks of  Jūrkalne, historically exiting city of Liepaja with great ambience and charming Kuldiga with the widest waterfall in Europe. In Lithuania the route goes through Palanga where Amber Museum is located and culminates at the National Park of the Curonian Spit with 60m high sand dune.

Pirmie dokumenti par Kokmuižu atrodami 1601. gada zemes revīzijas pierakstos. Tur sniegtā informācija vēsta, ka Kokmuiža pastāvējusi jau 1560. gadā. Taču 1880. gadā vācu muižnieks sākas celt kungu māju neobaroka stilā. 20. gs. sākumā tā tika izpostīta, bet 1937. gadā to pārveidoja par skolu.

Kokmuižā kādreiz atradusies alus darītava. Tas bija laika periodā no 17.- 20. gs. Tā bija viena no slavenākajām alusdarītavām visā Vidzemes guberņā.

Mūsdienās var izstaigāt muižu pats vai gida pavadībā. Var aplūkot kungu māju, staļļu ēkas, muižas pārvaldnieka namu, bibliotēku, ekspozīciju, abas klētis un alus darītavas pagrabu, kā arī sfērisko saules pulksteni.

Matsalu muiža pirmoreiz vēsturiskajos avotos ir minēta 1560. g., kad tā ietilpa Lihulas bīskapijas sastāvā. Tagad redzamās ēkas ir celtas laikā no 18. gs. otrās puses līdz 20. gs. sākumam. Pagājušā gadsimta sešdesmitajos gados te plānoja izveidot Matsalu rezervāta centru, taču „veiksmīgā loze” tika netālu esošajai Penijē muižai (sk. iepriekš). Mūsdienās muižas pils, citas ēkas un parks (tajā dīķis ar salu) atrodas kritiskā stāvoklī. Taču kā nozīmīgu vēstures liecinieku arī šo muižu var iekļaut apskatāmo objektu sarakstā. Muižas komplekss atrodas pa ceļam uz Kēmu (Keemu) putnu vērošanas torni.

One of the loveliest apple orchards in Latvia (~10 ha, 30 types of apples) is on the sides of impressive hillocks. During clear weather, you can see the Bay of Rīga from atop the hillocks. The grave of Ida Apsāne, who was known as the “moon daughter” of the great Latvian poet and playwright Rainis can be found in the old Lašu Lutheran Cemetery, which is 200 m to the North of the Lašu Lutheran Church. Recreation place "Kaupēna mill" is located near Tērvete, Zemgale region. In the pension there is hall for celebrations, there is a garden with grill. Free private parking is available for guests. The kitchenette is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery, and there is a microwave. Turkish bath and terrace. The guest house has 15 beds for overnight stays.

Guests are also offered a holiday house "Paradise House". It is a fully equipped family house with kitchenette and 4 beds, pond view, barbecue and gazebo. Quality well / spring drinking water.
