The first written information about the estate dates back to the 3rd quarter of the 18th century.  It is known that in 1769, the estate had 14 buildings.  Charlotte Lieven received Mežotne as a gift from Russian Empress Catherine the Great in 1759.  The estate suffered much damage during World War I.  After the war it became an exemplary estate, but its roof and mansard burned down during World War II.  Restoration of the estate began in 2007.  Today Mazmežotne Estate is a beautiful place, surrounded by nature. It offers recreational facilities, including accommodations, dining, banquet facilities for events and seminars, as well as biking, boating and hiking for those who enjoy exercise.  The former stables and barn offer spacious halls for celebrations, weddings, seminars, concerts, exhibitions. One of the buildings houses a SPA complex with a range of relaxing procedures.  The open chimney house offers an exhibition of the history of sugar-beet cultivation and sugar production industry in Latvia. The old cheese house is now a sauna with a relaxation room, a hot water tub outdoors, and a terrace.

A 100 year old wooden house with all modern conveniences retaining its cosy aura after renovation. 3 rooms, a large, convenient kitchen and a veranda on the 1st floor. 2 large 5-bed mansard apartments and a kitchen on the 2nd floor. The interior is elaborated with special caring attitude and artistic touch. Car parking in the yard. It is nice to spend mild summer evenings in the yard under the large chestnut-tree.

This is a new guesthouse and campsite 800 m from the sea at Košrags.  We offer four bedrooms, a separate bedroom with all the conveniences, and a kitchen with a separate entrance.  There are two new and well-appointed weekend cottages for four people with all conveniences and a kitchen corner.  The campsite has six cottages, room for tents, and three connections for campers.  There is a service building with showers and WC, and we also have a sauna.

Recreation and tourism centre “Ezernieki” is located 200 km from Riga, 30 km from Madona and 15 km from Lubāna town on the bank of Sala lake in Visagals. A great choice for calm recreation as well as for the corporative seminars banquets or games. A log-building house of three floors offers the large hall, open-fire hall, kitchen, great sauna with swimming-pool and nine comfy bedrooms with WC and shower. “Piedāgi Ūši” in Kolka is a modern two-story holiday home with two rooms with seven beds on the upper floor and a large kitchen and dining area with a fireplace on the first floor.  The venue is perfect for a large family or for two families wanting to vacation together.  The venue is particularly meant for hikers and environmental tourists.  There is equipment to dry footwear and apparel, to do laundry, to relax in a sauna, and to sit around in a friendly way in the kitchen/dining area.  Bicyclists will enjoy a stand for bikes in the outer room of the building.

The venue is a 10-minute walk from Cape Kolka and is on a large plot of land.  The beach is just a hop, skip and jump away.

A small fishermen’s house preserved in the original style, situated not far from the sea in Berzciems, offers 2 comfortable rooms for peaceful rest, with a fireplace and a small kitchen. Country hotel Kārļa muiža is located in the countryside of the Amata river valley with beautiful landscapes and in the Gauja National park.
