For more than 20 years the company has been partnering with some 100 local suppliers of milk. Its main principle is to offer healthy dairy products, including kefir, cottage cheese, cream, yogurts and soft cheese. SIA Elpa is the only dairy processing company in Southern Kurzeme that offers tours and tastings of products. Products can be bought, and during the tours, visitors can taste kefir, cheese and yogurt and help with the dairy processing process themselves. |

This park dates back to the mid-18th century and is to the south of Lake Stelmuže. There are winding trails on all sides of the hillock that lead to the Christ the King Church, with linden, maple, oak, birch, fir, elm and pine trees. At the foot of the hillock is the Laime stream, and visitors are welcome to stroll along the alley of oak trees. The oldest and fattest oak tree in Lithuania is one of the oldest ones in Europe. It is though that it is 1,500 to 2,000 ears old, and its record-setting diameter is 3.5 metres (eight or nine people linking hands are needed to encircle it). The tree is 23 m high. |

From Kaberneeme the route runs through a forest where you can see piles of stones carried here during the last ice-age. The trail soon climbs about 20 m up to the hiking trail, which runs on the old shore line of Lake Ancylus. The trail continues to the Linnamäe HES and a suspension bridge. Follow the trail over the ancient fortress hill of Linnamäe and continue on the right bank of the River Jägala, until reaching the Jägala waterfall. This is the highest natural waterfall in Estonia, more than 8 m high. The Suka bridge is about 500 metres up from the waterfall. After crossing the river, the trail passes through the Jägala waterfall park. Finally, the trail runs through the village of Koogi and arrives at Jõelähtme. |

Wooden slat weaving workshop is located in Jelgava county, Sesava parish. Craftswoman is making different type of wooden slat baskets and basketry from pine, linden, aspen and black alder. There are several different categories of baskets, available in different sizes - picknick baskets, baskets for berry and mushroom picking, trays, baskets for firewood, laundry baskets, onion / garlic baskets, baskets for kids, and diverse baskets for daily use. Various inscriptions and drawings are also made on the weavings. They also accept orders for individual orders. In the workshop it is possible to see the wooden slat basket weaving process as well as have the opportunity to learn to make your own basket. |

Салаца с точки зрения водного туризма является интересной рекой, на которой даже в период маловодья будут радовать береговые ландшафты и объекты осмотра, а также многообразие самой реки. Для похода на лодках самыми привлекетельными будут окрестности Мазсалацы и участок Мерниеки – Вецсалаца, где на карте видны топонимы, связанные с заколами. Заколы (лат. tacis) – бывшие места ловли миноги – это та уникальность, характерная только для Салацы на участке реки ниже впадения реки Иге. В наши дни о прежнем существовании заколов свидетельствуют топонимы – Гедерту тацис, Жвигулю тацис и др. Заколы для миног строили в местах, где река самая мелкая, самая узкая, более богата островами и стремнинами, поэтому топоним «тацис» означает также самые интересные обстоятельства для сплава. Сами заколы сохранились только в нижнем течении реки у Салацгривы. Ночлег в основном на стоянках для водных туристов (в палатках). The owner of the bakery bakes bread on maple leaves in accordance with ancient recipes. She also bakes three-layer carrot buns (rye flour, potatoes and carrots). You can learn about the baking process and then taste and purchase the finished products. The lady of the house demonstrates and teaches traditions related to the baking of bread and carrot buns. BURSH brewery – one of the smallest breweries in Latvia which is situated between Zemgale, Vidzeme, Latgale and Selija territories – in the Plavinu territory of Aiviekste district. Beer connoisseurs are offered dark and light beer BURSH. BURSH is made of water, barley malt, hop and yeast, is boiled on a firewood stove, fermented in oak barrels and prepared for 30 days. LLC „ECOS” uses only natural raw material in the process of brewing. Beer is made according to the special recipes made especially for BURSH brewery and with attention to traditiaonal methods of brewing beer. |

There is no need to enter the bog to see it, there are good views from the highway Ventspils – Riga (77 km, bus stop “Pagrieziens uz Elkskeni”). The main value of restricted area is chalky fen bog with brown bog-rush (greatest habitat finding in Latvia). Be careful when stopping on the highway – mind the traffic! A couple of kilometers towards Riga, on the right side of the highway, there is sign to Grizu Velna kresls ( Grizu Devil Chair) which is an attractive boulder (protected).

The Orthodox Church and Cloister of the Holy Spirit and the Orthodox Church of St Nicholas the Miracle Maker are found at Brīvības Street 200 in Jēkabpils. The Byzantine Church of the Holy Spirit was built between 1853 and 1886 to replace a wooden church which had been built in the latter half of the 17th century and burned down in 1773. Duke Jacob of the Duchy of Courland supplied the timber for the old church. The cloister was alongside the church. On Second Easter in 1903, the church caught on fire, and the only icon rescued was a painting of the Virgin Mary. The church suffered damage during World War I and was restored in 1933. Alongside the Church of the Holy Spirit is the oldest church in Jēkabpils – the oldest stone church in the city, which is named after St Nicholas the Miracle Maker and was erected in 1774. This is a very small church, just 17 x 19.5 m. The cloister of the Church of the Holy Spirit operates the church today, and it can be viewed from the inside. The stone fence that surrounds the complex is massive, but atypical of urban environments in Latvia.
