Here you can tour a farm which features goats, horses, rabbits, fowl and livestock. Equine therapy is available, as are horseback, pony and carriage rides. You can purchase goat milk, cheese, cottage cheese, kefir and yogurt.

The location requires a drive through the Pērlis forest and sparsely populated areas.  Silmači features an open-air stage, which was built in the 1980s for just one performance that was staged by the Latvian National Theatre during the Summer Solstice celebration in 1986.  Ever since then, Rūdolfs Blaumanis’ famous play “Tailor Days at Silmači” has been performed here during the season.  Alongside the stage is a museum that features information about the single performance in 1986.  An original manuscript of the play (1902) can also be viewed.

The owner of the bakery bakes bread on maple leaves in accordance with ancient recipes. She also bakes three-layer carrot buns (rye flour, potatoes and carrots). You can learn about the baking process and then taste and purchase the finished products. The lady of the house demonstrates and teaches traditions related to the baking of bread and carrot buns. While the buns are in the oven, she will talk about the Suiti region and offer a look at Suiti folk costumes.

The beer cellar Mara is situated in Talsi. Number of seating places: 100, in the summer season: 200.

You can visit Kihnu Museum all year round and get insight into the history of the island, including the life of the famous local captain, Kihnu Jõnn. It is also worth seeing Kihnu Church and the cemetery located across from the museum. In the summer, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the island, the surrounding sandbanks and the sea from the lighthouse. The commemorative stone by the former house of Kihnu Jõnn introduces you to the island’s legendary “wild captain”.
