Die Mikaitas GmbH ist ein Familienunternehmen, das Zuchtschafe züchtet und im Jahr 2005 gegründet wurde. Das Unternehmen bietet Zuchtmaterial an Herden, die Fleisch herstellen, und dieses Zuchtmaterial gibt frühreifende Lämmer mit ausgezeichnetem Fleisch. In der Wirtschaft wird die Schafsorte Oxforddown gezüchtet. Hier kann man Zuchtlämmer im unterschiedlichen Alter, Zuchtschafe, Zuchtböcke, Garne, Waren aus Wolle, bearbeitete Schaffelle, Schafe für Weide, Lammfleisch und verschiedene Fleischerzeugnisse kaufen. |

In den Steinen der Pyramide sind die Namen der örtlichen Häuser eingraviert. Eine 9 m hohe Anhäufung von großen Feldsteinen ist seiner Art ein Denkmal für Krišjāns Barons und seinen Erkenntnissen zum Besten des Volkes. Im Landgut von Valpene hat die Mutter von K. Barons und der künftige Sammler der lettischen "Dainas" (traditionelle lettische Volkslieder oder Gedichte) gelebt. In den Steinen der Pyramide sind die Namen der verschwundenen Häuser eingraviert. Die Richtung der Namen in der Pyramide zeigt einen Standort der ehemaligen Häuser. Der Ideenautor der Pyramide von Valpene war Imants Ziedonis, der Bildhauer – Vilnis Titāns. |

Encircled by apartment buildings, some of which are abandoned, the Tosmare water tower, which was built in 1905 in a pseudo-Gothic style and is made of red bricks, stands tall and proud. It is 37 metres high. Steam pumps were once used to pump underground water into the tower (the pumps have survived to this very day). Water was delivered three times a day to the residents of Karosta. The tower is no longer used for its original purpose, however. The tower can be viewed from the outside at any time. This is a unique aspect of Latvia’s industrial heritage.

Das ist ein großes Territorium mit Küstenwiesen, alten Flüssen und Schilf. Es befindet sich in einem Gebiet, wo die Daugava floss – zwischen Vecmīlgrāvis und Vecāķi. Hier gibt es Binnendünenwiesen, mit dem sehr seltenen Silbergras bedeckt. Vecdaugava ist ein wichtiges Nistgebiet, hier werden verschiedene seltene Pflanzenarten gefunden. Am südlichen Ende der Vecdaugava – Insel, bei Skanstnieki, kann man noch Überreste von schwedischen Befestigungsanlagen aus dem Mittelalter finden. Das Regionale Forschungs- und Fischereimuseum von Vecdaugava befindet sich auch hier.

The tower offers a look at the historical centre of Limbaži , the castle ruins, and the landscape all the way to Lake Dūņezers. The Limbaži castle was part of Latvia’s earliest fortifications, and its unique gates survive to this very day. Keys to the tower can be found at the museum. This is part of the ZBR. |

You will feel the beauty, power and energy of nature here, ensuring harmony with nature and a good sense of the energy of rocks, plants, Latvian plants and underground streams. The rocky seashore of Vidzeme is nearby, and the garden has received many prizes from the Salacgrīva Administrative District and Latvia as such. |

The Jokas farm is 4 km to the East of Turlava. Owner Jānis Uzulēns has purposefully developed and expanded the farm ever since it was established in 2011. He is particularly proud of his herd of beef cows, some 70 in all, as well as of five horses. The farm produces sausages and other meat products and also offers services such as managing forests and fisheries. |

This territory was established to protect various kinds of rare butterflies A popular tourist destination in the Nīcgaļi forests is the great rock of Nīcgale, which is the largest rock in Latvia – a geological and geo-morphological monument of nature. The rock has a circumference of 31.1 metres, and it is 3.5 metres high, 10.5 metres long and 10.4 metres wide for a total size of 170 m3. |
