The Sarkaņi Catholic Church is on the western shore of Lake Cirms, and it was built of field stones in 1830. The church is famous for a painting of the Virgin Mary which is said to be miraculous. This is a popular destination for pilgrims as a result of this fact.

The estate is in the centre of Ineši, 5 km to the south of Vecpiebalga.  The estate dates back to the latter half of the 17th century, when an ornate castle for the noble Sheremetyev family was built here in the style of Classicism and on the banks of the little Orisāre River.  The castle was built down during the 1905  Revolution, but restored four years later.  Around the castle is a lovely landscape park.  The castle served as the prototype for the Slātava Estate in the famous novel “Age of the Surveyors” by the Kaudzīte brothers.  In 1992, the Piebalga Administrative District Museum was opened in the wine cellar of the castle, which is home to the Ineši Parish Council and a porcelain painting studio.  Organised tours of the estate and its surrounding area are available.

Akmensraga tāpat kā Kolkasraga apkaime jau kopš seniem laikiem ir bijusi zināma kā kuģotājiem bīstama vieta, jo te atrodas viena no lielākajām Latvijas piekrastes kuģu kapsētām. Bīstamības fakts slēpjas apstāklī, ka Akmensraga apkārtnē mainās krasta virziens un jūrā iestiepjas akmeņaini sēkļi. Pirmo signāluguni Akmensragā iededza 1879. g., bet 10 gadus vēlāk uzcēla 28 m augstu koka bāku. 1911. g. uzcēla mūra bāku, kuru sagrāva 1. pasaules kara laikā – 1916. g. Mūsdienās redzamā (augstums 37,5 m, uzbūvēta 1921. g.). Padomju laikā visas bākas bija militāri – stratēģiski objekti un šeit strādāja hidrogrāfiskais dienests un jūras novērošanas punkts. Near the Lielauce manor house start of a wooden pathway which crosses the transition-type swamp that is on the shore of Lake Lielauce to a boating facility near the open part of the lake. Boating and fishing are possible – here, too, the population of fish is regularly restored. The area is a part of the Vīķi swamp restricted zone.

Few Soviet military objects are associated with more legends than this one. During Soviet times, this was a reserve airfield, as well as a storage site (just 50 kilometres from the republic’s capital city) for nuclear weapons. These were hidden in two cement hangars that were covered with soil and vegetation. Public information suggests that an RX-24 nuclear bomb weighing 430 kg and a RX-26 nuclear bomb weighing 1,030 kg were stored here, as were air-to-land missiles equipped with nuclear explosives. If there had been an accident here, what would have happened to Rīga, to Latvia, to the Baltic States and to Northern Europe? The airfield is a closed territory today.

The Lejas Kleperi farm straddles the boundary between the Cēsis and Valka Districts. The farm is 119.4 hectares large, with 86.1 hectares of forestland. The farm’s work is centred on forestry. Ventspils is one of the most afluent Latvian towns with excellent infrstructure, well- restored Old town and Livonian Order Castle, clean and well equipped white sandy beaches, promenade, arty fountains, flower sculptures, manicured parks and various attractions.Whole town is family oriented but kids particularly enjoy the Blue Flag beach with different swings, climbing and sliding options as well as Kids Town with activity zones for different age groups. A short trip by "Mazbanitis", the narrow-gauge steam engine is a special attraction for kids as well as adults. Walking and cycling routes as well as trip on the tourist boat give a good chance to explore the town and coast. Water pleasures can be fully enjoyed at indoor or outdoor acqua parks. We suggest two self-drive excursions in vicinity featuring scenic sea coast, traditional fishing villages where smoked fish can be bought from fishermen, Slitere National Park with beautiful view from its lighthouse, charming Kuldiga with its wooden arhitecture. Driving there is easy since roads are rather empty.

The stadium was opened in 1938 and has been rebuilt several times since then.  Outside the stadium is a memorial stone to honour of Jānis Dāliņš (1904-1978), who set several world records in race walking.  He won a silver medal at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1932.  The first Three Star Olympiad was held in the stadium in 1993.  The stadium is of national importance as an athletics stadium that hosts international competitions and various athletic activities.  It is known as the most youth-friendly facility of its type.
