Turkalne Manor Brewery and Cidery is a place where history meets modern technology.

Our Story
The history of the manor dates back to 1604. In 2018, its current owner restored the manor's barn and set up a brewery, winery, and cidery within it.

Apples
In the Turkalne Manor orchard, covering 1 hectare, the apple varieties 'Sīpoliņš', 'Auksis', 'Antonovka', 'Remo', 'Spartan' are grown.

Ciders 
At Turkalne Manor, they make apple cider, apple-rhubarb cider, and mulled cider.

For Visitors 
Guests are offered tastings in the historic barn building. The second floor of the barn features a large space for events such as weddings, family celebrations, seminars, and training sessions. Catering can be arranged in advance. Accommodation and event hosting venues are available 1 km away at the Turbas leisure complex. A tour of the Turkalne Manor grounds with a story about the manor’s history and restoration is also offered.

The “Priedītes” Mini Zoo farm is in the Limbaži Administrative District and offers visitors a chance to get close to farm animals.  Learn all about each kind of animal and its habits.  Visit our rabbit garden where you will see some 40 hopping around, though there are some 100 in all.  There are dwarf goats, sheep, a cow, some chickens and special tinker horses from Ireland.  Horseback riding is available.

The “Celmiņi” weekend house is found in a quiet and forested location in the Kūkas Parish of the Krustpils Administrative District.  Guests can enjoy active leisure or relaxation that are provided by the surrounding environment.  The venue has three types of saunas – a wet sauna, a steam or Turkish sauna, and a traditional Latvian sauna.  There is a vat of water outside the sauna, and there is also relaxation in a bee healing process (a seasonal offer).

There is a house with four bedrooms (up to 15 people), as well as two small huts where two people can stay.  During the summer, there are another four camping huts for two persons.

The venue can host parties up to 35 people, while the sauna building will accommodate up to 12 individuals.

Depending on the season, there can be archery, paintball, creative workshops, soup cooked on a campfire, as well as educational activities for children.

The campsite is located in Slītere National Park, 3 kilometers from the sandy Baltic Sea. There are 6 buildings with a total of 50 beds - rooms for 3, 5, 6 or 12 people. There are two country kitchens, a library with books in Latvian and English, a large dining room. New service house with WC, shower and kitchen. You can also have a sauna.

There are several trails and forest paths in the Slītere National Park for walks. The nearest shop is 2 km away in the village of Mazirbe.

The recreation complex "Pazust Priedēs" is a newly created recreation area in the village of Bernāti - a 7-minute walk from the beach. Two holiday homes are available for recreation - "Saulrieta" and "Saullēta" houses and a separate bathhouse. On the farm there is also situated the Star Space observatory where during the ~ two-hour-long visit you will hear simply presented stories about stars, planets and other topics.After the lecture, outside, in fresh air you will be able to put the acquired knowledge to use, by trying to spot some constellations – how to find them, how they look like, etc. After you learn about constellations, you can observe them in the observatory’s powerful telescope which is open to public use.

The Berghof Milk Estate with saunas. The weekend sauna at the estate offers a country sauna and the holiest type of traditional sauna – the black rock sauna. Our Story
Līgatne Winery is a family business established in 2010 with the aim of producing high-quality, delicious homemade wine from berries and fruits grown in Latvia. For several years now, the company has also been producing cider.

Apples
The family’s orchard is located in Gauja National Park, where they use autumn and winter apple varieties to create sweet apple ice cider and semi-sweet quince cider. The newer cider apple trees, known for their red flesh, yield a juice that gives the cider a pink hue.

For Visitors
Tastings are held by candlelight in the sandstone cave "Lustūzis" in Līgatne, accompanied by stories about the historical Līgatne paper mill village, caves, cliffs, and the traditions of winemaking and cider production.
