Der erste Teil dieses Abschnitts des Waldweges schlängelt sich entlang des herrlichen Piusa-Tals und biegt dann im Dorf Härmä in Richtung Obinitsa ab, einem wichtigen kulturellen Zentrum von Setomaa, dem Land von Setos. Hier können Sie die Traditionen der Seto-Bevölkerung entdecken, zum Beispiel das feine Handwerk der Seto-Frauen. Nach Obinitsa führt der Waldweg durch wunderschöne, heidereiche Kiefernwälder, steigt zurück in die Tiefen des Piusa-Tals und endet an den Piusa-Höhlen. Die Piusa-Sandsteinhöhlen sind das Ergebnis des Handabbaus von Glassand von 1922-1966. In den Höhlen befindet sich die größte überwinternde Fledermauskolonie Osteuropas. Es werden auch Gruppen für die 1-3 Stunden dauernde Programme erwartet. |

The main building of the museum features an early 19th C. threshing barn with a dirt floor, the living quarters were added in the late 19th C. The museum also exhibits a smoke sauna, summer kitchen, granary, cellar, coach house and a dining house (formerly a cattle shed). All buildings have a display of tools and everyday commodities, traditional farm food can be booked in advance and handicraft workshops are available. |

This is one of the most colourful and architecturally interesting parks in Lithuania. It was rebuilt and expanded between 1898 and 1900 by the renowned dendrologist G.F. Kuphaldt. The park had more than 200 types of plants, more than 100 of which are still growing. There are various roads and pathways that offer a sense of the mightiness and beauty of the park. A dendrological trail with markers offers information about 15 rare trees. |
