Grain growers

Auf dem Hof werden Getreide und Kartoffeln angebaut, sowie die eigene Produktion, Bildungsseminare und Führungen für Schüler, Erwachsene und Gruppen angeboten. Hier kann man eine Sammlung von alten Werkzeugen und Milchverarbeitungsanlagen besichtigen, sowie diese praktisch anwenden. Den Gästen stehen ein großer Park mit Attraktionen und ein breites Angebot an Beschäftigungen zur Verfügung.

Die Bauernwirtschaft Iesalnieki-1 befindet sich in der Gemeinde Vietalva der Region Pļaviņas. Der Hauptbereich der Wirtschaft ist Getreidezucht – Raps, Gerste, Weizen und Gräser. Gesamtfläche 180 ha. Interessant ist die Tatsache, dass zwei Brüder mit eigenen Kräften zusammen mehr als 800 ha bewirtschaften. 

Die Agrofirma Tērvete AG ist das größte Mehrzweigunternehmen für Landwirtschaft in Lettland, das sechs Bereiche umfasst: Obstbau, Milchviehzucht, Pferdezucht, Verpflegung, Biogasherstellung und Bierherstellung.
Gruppen von Interessenten können hier zwei Objekte – Bierbrauerei und eine Großfarm besichtigen. In der Bierbrauerei werden das bekannte Bier von Tērvete und Kwass hergestellt. Besuchern werden hier eine informative Veranstaltung mit Verkostung und eine kleine Führung in der Produktionsabteilung angeboten. Während dieser Veranstaltung kann man alle Biersorten mit köstlichen Snacks verkosten.
Die Großfarm Tērces ist ein mit modernen Technologien ausgestatteter Komplex für Milchherstellung, wo 3000 Milchkühe untergebracht sind. Gruppen von Interessenten wird eine informative Besichtigung des Komplexes organisiert. Zusätzlich werden Gruppen Mittagessen in der Kantine des Unternehmens angeboten.

In Veranstaltungen zum Thema erzählen die Landwirte von den Eigenheiten des Anbaus von Faserhanf und machen mit der Vielfalt der Produkte aus Hanf bekannt. Dabei werden die Besucher mit Hanfprodukten aus der eigenen Produktion bewirtet.

"Gusts Apinis" is located in Vidzeme highlands, Amata region. The company is unique in that it grows non-traditional crops in Latvia: quinoa, amaranth, millet, lentils, etc. Produces flour and pasta (buckwheat, buckwheat-quinoa) from grown products.

The barn was built in the second half of the 19th century. The building has a permanent exhibition, where you can see how land management and bread baking took place in the manor. We bake bread if you order in advance

The Rožlejas farm is in the Džūkste Parish of the Tukums Administrative District, where the Eastern Courlandian highlands interact with the Heath lowlands.  The parents of the current owner, Jānis Ukše, began work there in 1989, establishing a natural farm to grow sugar beets and then also wheat.  Thanks to thoughtful farming, Rožlejas has, over the past quarter-century, turned into one of the largest grain farms in Western Latvia.  The owners have taken active part in EU projects to purchase modern equipment and to build hangars for the storage of grain and equipment.  The farm specialises in winter barley and winter wheat, using ~1,200 ha of land for that purpose.

The Lazdiņi farm is one of the most modern farms in Latvia, located in the Krimūni Parish in the north-western part of the Zemgale lowlands.  The farm focuses on grain farming (~1,100 ha), processing and storage.  Owner Juris Lazdiņš is the chairman of the largest non-governmental organisations in the field of agriculture, and by contacting him in advance, agriculture experts and future experts can go there to exchange experiences.  The farm is surrounded by the typical landscape of the Zemgale lowlands.

Z / S "Kaņepītes" is a family company founded in 1992. The farm takes its name from the name of the house given to it in 1924. Organic farm where cereals are grown and processed into food. The production of the products is small, but the technique has an ancient atmosphere, a stone, wooden mill that gives a special taste and aroma to flour and oatmeal. Now the assortment already has 30 different product types.
