"Fine Foods North” Partners Meet in Tallinn

On 13 August, the project “Fine Foods North” partners from Latvia, Estonia and Finland met in person in Tallinn for the first time. During the meeting, the partners discussed the activities and tasks planned within the project to establish a new export network that would help cheese and complementary food producers from the partner countries enter the UK market.
As part of the project, producers will have the opportunity to take part in practical training, receive expert support and prepare for entering international markets. A joint identity, “Northern Baltic Cheese and Fine Foods” (working title), will also be developed to bring together high-quality artisan cheeses and other premium food products from Latvia, Estonia and Finland, increasing their visibility in international markets.
An important part of the project will be getting to know the UK market and establishing direct contacts with potential buyers, including those in the retail and HORECA sectors. Product presentations and tastings, participation in international industry events, and an experience exchange visit to the UK are planned. Joint marketing materials and a web platform will also be developed to increase the visibility of the participating producers.
Ülari Alamets, Project Manager of the Central Baltic Programme, also shared key points to be taken into account during the implementation of the project.
