Dundagas pili ieskauj parks, kura pirmsākumi ir meklējami jau 17. gs. Tam cauri tek Pāces upīte, kuras uzdambējums veido Dundagas dīķi. Tajā atrodas senatnē (vēl pirms pils būvniecības) mākslīgi veidota sala - Kalnadārza pilskalns. Tam iepretim (dīķa austrumu krastā) atrodas Dundagas pilskalns. Parkā joprojām zaļo (daži lielākie zari ir nolūzuši) t.s. “Rubļa ozols”, kura attēls bija uz 1919. g. izdotās Latvijas simts rubļu naudaszīmes. Parkā uzcelta estrāde. |

Ein Platz eines alten und bedeutenden Handels- und Handwerkszentrum am linken Ufer des Stausees des Rigaer Wasserkraftwerkes, der sich über den Fluss auf 15 m erhöht. Man nimmt an, dass bei einem kleinen Bach – einer Mündung des Flusses Varžupīte nahe der Wallanlage von Daugava sich ein in den historischen Unterlagen erwähnter Hafen von Semgallen befand. Gemäß gefundenen alten Gegenständen kann man behaupten, dass die Wallburg und eine alte Stadt am Fuße der Wallburg bis zum Ende des 12. Jahrhunderts besiedelt waren, als die Bedeutung von Daugmale von der rasch wachsenden Stadt Riga verringert wurde. Der Fuße der Wallburg ist befestigt. |

In der Zeit der Sowjetunion waren alle Leuchttürme Militärobjekete auch der Leuchtturm von Pape. Heutzutage wird der Leuchtturm von dem Meeresadministration Lettlands beaufsichtigt und für die Interessenten ist er nur von Außen zugänglich.

Bei der Führung kann man hausgemachtes Brot, Käse, Bier und Wildgerichte verkosten. Der alte Gemüsegarten und die Lindenallee laden zur Besichtigung ein, ebenso die im Hof gehaltenen Rot- und Dammhirsche und Mufflons. Kinder sind besonders an der Möglichkeit, Ziegen, Kaninchen und den Esel zu streicheln, interessiert. |

These meadows are of distinction because of the curvy Slampe River, which has caused a gradual recovery of damp meadows, complete with species of plants and animals that are typical of such areas. Domestic animals adapted for life in the wild can be seen here, and a bird watching tower on the location will offer you an excellent opportunity to view them. You can get to the meadows via a narrow corridor known as the Melnragu throat. The gravel road will lead to a hillock called Kurgāns from which you can have an excellent view of the surrounding landscape. |

Rikavas Manor is the local architectural monument that belonged to Janovski family. Michael Riks
bought the building in the second half of the 18th century. The construction works of the manor house lasted
from 1870 till 1875. The redbrick building is an example of Neo Gothic style. Since 1926 there was established
a school. You should see the beautiful interior and wooden stairs as well as school’s workshop

Īdeņa Castle mound is located near Lake Lubāns. A beautiful view
to the lake and to the marshy meadows. The place was inhabited from
the 11th century.

The Skaistkalne Roman Catholic Church is in the southern part of Skaistkalne and on the right bank of the Mēmele River valley. The Baroque church is known as the most beautiful Catholic church in Zemgale. The ornate interior and the graves of clergymen and noblemen can be toured. |

This is the largest rock in the Baltic States and, according to some sources, in all of the segment of Northern Europe which was affected by the last Ice Age. Its size is 930 m3! The rock is 7.5 m high, 16.5 m long and 14 m high, with a circumference of 48.5 m. The rock resembles a huge pebble from a distance, and it is on the sandy and rocky beach. Depending on the season, it can be out in the water. The Ice Age carried the rock to its current location from the southern shore of Finland. It is made of pegmatite.

A comparatively large swamp to the North of the Zaļā dune, this is an important place for sulphurous waters, just as is the case with Zaļais swamp. The swamp is cut in two by the 3.5 km Ķemeri-Antiņciems road, from which interesting landscapes can be seen. The road is not appropriate for cars, however. To the East of Raganu swamp is Lake Putnezers, which is difficult to access. There is a small car park with an information stand on the shore of Lake Melnezers alongside the Ķemeri-Jaunķemeri road. The historical and overgrown Old Ķemeri road can be used to get to the seashore from this location. |

Die Festungswerke hier wurden in der längeren Zeitperiode aufgebaut und umgeformt. Am Bau der Festungswerke haben sowohl Deutsche, als auch Schweden und Russen teilgenommen. Anfang des 20 Jahrhunderts im Jahr 1912 begann die Arbeit zum Bau von mehreren Festungswerke in Mangaļsala und Bolderāja. Es wurden zwei Festungswerke mit 254mm Geschützen, sechs Festungswerke mit 152mm Geschützen und drei Befestugungswerke mit 138mm Geschützen aufgebaut. In jedem Festungswerk wurden zwei Geschütze aufgestellt. Das System der Fortifikationen von Mangaļsala besteht aus mehreren Teile und es befindet sich in einem relativ weitem Territorium. Einzelne Teile des Systems sind nicht zugänglich, weil diese sich im Territorium von Kleingärten befindet. Das ist ein einzigartiges historisches Denkmal, das sich in der Hauptstadt befindet, jedoch ”vergessen”, ungepflegt, schwer zugänglich und gefährlich für die Besucher geworden ist. Wenn das Objekt entsprechend eingeschätz und bewirtschaftet würde, könnte es zu einen von den Topobjekten des Tourismus in Riga werden, weil Riga nicht nur die Altstadt von Riga ist...
