This is a cemetery that was originated in the Middle Ages and used until the beginning of the 20th century.  A mossy stone fence surrounds the cemetery.  Interesting elements in the cemetery include the grave of Heinrihs Jakobsons (1832-1911), who was the first schoolteacher in Mazirbe (the old metal cross is to the left of the main gate), a pine tree of national importance and has a circumference of 3.17 metres (during the Soviet Union someone drilled a hole in the trunk of the tree to access honey), the grave of Niks Freimanis (1845-1908), who is said to have been the prototype for a character in a story and play by Marģers Zariņš, and the Werewolf Grave, which relates to countless ghost stories, including the claim that it is the only known gravesite of a werewolf in Latvia.

The brothers Imants and Ivars Novožilovs have spent more than 10 years collecting local evidence of World War II – weapons, wrecks of armoured vehicles, the everyday objects of soldiers, etc., and they have now opened an exhibition of those items at the former headquarters of the local parish council.

Im Park befinden sich fünf Labyrinthe, die mit Zierpflanzen geschmückt, mit Blumen und Heilkräutern bepflanzt sind. Dabei handelt es sich um Thymian, Phlox, Pfingstrosen, Beinwell, Hartheu, Pfeifenstrauch, Zierquitten, Brennende Liebe, Eisenhut, Dost, Estragon, Schlüsselblume, Rainfarn, Schöllkraut, Alant, Minze, Goldrute, Mädesüß usw. Der längste Pfad in dem energetischen Labyrinth ist 1,7 km lang. Und wenn man alle 5 derzeit vorhandenen Labyrinthe durchlaufen will, kommt man auf knapp 5 Kilometer. Im Park sind 3 geometrische Figuren eingerichtet: Kuppel, Mandala und Merkaba.

Atrodas Daugavas prospektā 10, starp Rīgas – Daugavpils šoseju (A 6) un Kalēju ielu. Dievnams celts laikā no 1931. - 1933. g. (arhitekts: Pēteris Kundziņš). Padomju gados tajā bija izvietota Latvijas Valsts bibliotēkas grāmatu glabātava. Pateicoties draudzes aktivitātēm 1989. g., ēku atjaunoja. Tagad tā kalpo savam pamatmērķim.

 Das Gotteshaus war von 1932 – 1938 an der Stelle einer alten Holzkirche nach einem Projekt von J. Cīruļis erbaut worden. Bis 1994 befand sich hier ein Filmverleih. Heute kann man in der Kirche eine Fotoausstellung über den Bau der Kirche besichtigen – „Vom Fundament bis zur Turmspitze, alte lettische Kirchenbauämter in Fotografien. Vom 37m hohen Glockenturm aus  hat man einen Blick über die Stadt .

Zu seinem 140.Geburtstag  1999 wurde im Haus „Auči“ eine Ausstellung über sein Leben und Wirken und seine Familie eröffnet. Man kann das Arbeitszimmer Čakstes besichtigen und im Ausstellungsraum Arbeiten von Jelgaer Künstlern.

Der Schießstand – am Parkplatz bei dem Naturpfad, kann ein aufmerksamer Besucher eine zuwachsende breite Schneise sehen, die vom Strand bis zur Straße Ventspils – Kolka geht. Dieser Platz wurde in der Sowjetzeit als Schießlehrplatz benutzt.

Padomju laikos tajā atradās Matsalu rezervāta administrācija, bet mūsdienās ēkā ir izveidota viesnīca. Līdz muižai nokļūstam pa skaistu aleju, kuras apkaimē ir redzamas citas muižas kompleksa ēkas.

The Varakļāni Estate has a mansion which is known as one of the most outstanding monuments to Classicism in Latgale. It was built between 1783 and 1789 and designed by the Italian architect Vincento Macotti, and it was owned by Earl Michael Johan Borch. Late in the 18th century, the same architect designed the estate’s lovely and romantic landscape park, which was one of the first parks of its kind in Latvia. The Varakļāni Administrative District Museum is housed in the mansion today.
