This is the largest rock in the Baltic States and, according to some sources, in all of the segment of Northern Europe which was affected by the last Ice Age. Its size is 930 m3! The rock is 7.5 m high, 16.5 m long and 14 m high, with a circumference of 48.5 m. The rock resembles a huge pebble from a distance, and it is on the sandy and rocky beach. Depending on the season, it can be out in the water. The Ice Age carried the rock to its current location from the southern shore of Finland. It is made of pegmatite.

Dieses Territorium soll die “grüne Zone” von Riga schützen. Der größte Teil des Parks ist mit Kiefernwald und Dünen mit Sträuchern darauf bedeckt. Der See Beberbeķi befindet sich im südlichen Teil des Parks. Das Gelände um den Park herum wurde verbessert.

Dievnams celts (1851. g.) un vēlāk (1876. g.) paplašināts. Tas tika sagrauts 2. Pasaules kara laikā un pēcāk atjaunots. Līdz Latvijas neatkarības atgūšanai to izmantoja par skolas sporta zāli. Pēc draudzes darbības atsākšanas (1989. g.) sākās arī baznīcas un ar to saistīto tradīciju atdzimšana. Apskatāma no iekšpuses. |

Open landscape area within farming lands on both banks of Uzava River about 10 km before it flows into the Baltic Sea. There is a good open view over the area from the Vendzava-Ziri road going through the nature park. Protection of migratory birds and corncrakes has been one of the main reasons for establishment of the nature park. Bird watching is possible from the road Vendzava-Ziri during migration period in spring and fall. There is no tourist infrastructure in the nature park.

Found in the Alsunga Museum, this workshop demonstrates how the folk costumes and accessories of the Suiti community are produced. Visitors can learn about weaving traditions in the area and examine the colourful range of folk costumes. Visitors are welcome to try their hand at the work under the guidance of experienced specialists. |
