Viļāni Old-Believers Prayer House. The architect P.Pavlovs built Old-Believers Prayer House in 1930s. The congregation was established very recently. Nevertheless the 14 meters high tower was constructed in 2004. The Prayer House is a very simple building but you will be pleased to see the magnificent icons. The Prayer House has been renovated completely.

Befindet sich auf dem Bērtuļa -Friedhof. Errichtet nach dem Projekt von L. Švalbe.  An der Frontseite des Denkmals befindet sich eine Platte aus Bronze mit Inschrift: “Mit tiefem Dank an die für Lettland gefallenen Volkshelden. 10. Abteilung der Daugavas Vanagi in Rūjiena”. An der Rückenseite des Denkmals ist die Inschrift “Gott, Vaterland, Volk”. Das Denkmal wurde 1989 erneuert.

The tower on the eastern shore of Lake Engure (next to the meadow for wild cattle, accessible from the side of Bērzciems) offers a view of the reeds, small islands, Great Island, cows and horses of the north-eastern part of the lake. The tower on the northern shore of the lake (accessible from the side of Mērsrags) offers a look at the boating facility and the very overgrown northern part of the lake. The tower at the north-western shore of the lake (accessible from the side of Ķūļciems) shows the Apaļrova island (a footpath), stands of juniper, the boating facility, and the mosaic-like landscape of the lake itself.

The White Dune is one of the landmarks of Saulkrasti, on the Vidzeme gulf coast. The dune offers a splendid view of the sea, the mouth of the Inčupe River and the vast beach. The White Dune formed as the wind drove beach sand over the clay silt of Baltic Ice Lake. Its white 18 meters high sand outcrop once helped local fishermen find their way home. The dune got its name from its white, hardened layers of sand which look like sandstone.
In White Dune are set up following Nature Design objects: "Entrance gates" which symbolizes White Dune and its fragility. On the wall of this object an information about White Dune are exposed. "Frīda the Hedgehog" and "Fredis the Rabbit"- both objects invite people to be polite when visiting nature sites and not to throw rubbish on the ground as well as to be quiet in the forest. "The bug trail" which helps to understand that humans are not the only one creatures in the nature. "Listening device" which is made in the form of trumpet and helps to listen into the sounds of sea and wind. The approximately 4 kilometers long Sunset Trail winds from the White Dune to the center of Saulkrasti.

Ein kleines, bewaldetes Territorium mit Schwefelquellen, deren bekannteste die Ellīte – Schwefelquelle ist. Sie hat Schwefelwasser mit einen niedrigen Gehalt an Mineralien. Das Wasser hat vermutlich medizinische Eigenschaften. Das Gebiet um den Strom herum ist gut markiert und ein Pfad führt dorthin. Der Strom gilt als Quelle für den Iecava – Fluss. Das Territorium wurde eingerichtet, um die Biotope und Pflanzen des Gebietes zu schützen.

Atrodas Vārtājas ielejas labajā krastā un labi saskatāms no Priekules – Grobiņas (P106) ceļa. Senās kuršu zemes – Piemares pilskalns, kas vēstures avotos pirmo reizi minēts 1253. gadā – līgumā starp Kurzemes bīskapu un Livonijas ordeni. Viens no lielākajiem Dienvidkurzemes pilskalniem. Iespējams, ka iepriekš – arī sens kulta kalns. Pagājušā gadsimta sešdesmitajos gados veiktajos arheoloģiskajos izrakumos konstatēts, ka pilskalns bijis apdzīvots jau vidējā dzelzs laikmetā. Pie tā konstatēta liela senspilsētas vieta.

Das Vorwerk Birkineli ist als kulturgeschichtliches Denkmal staatlich geschützt. Es ist bekannt als Elternhaus des berühmten lettischen Literaten und Aktivisten Rainis (1865-1929). 1995 wurde das Haus restauriert und wird seit 1996 als Gedenkstätte für Rainis in Birkineli betreiben. Seine Kindheitserinnerungen von hier hat er in den Gedichtsammlungen „Fünf Skizzenhefte von Dagda“ verewigt. Heute werden im Rainis-Haus Führungen angeboten, Workshops, Ausstellungen und die Besucher haben die Möglichkeit Kleidung aus jener Zeit von Bauern, Dienern und anderen Berufsgruppen auszuprobieren. Rings um das Haus gibt es einen großen Obstgarten, und diesbezüglich werden Kurse unter dem Titel  „Apfelweg“ angeboten. Besonders erwünscht sind Kinder und Jugendliche als Besucher. Vom Haus aus hat man eine prima Aussicht auf die Landschaft von Selonia.

This is the only viewing platform of its kind. It is north of Pāvilosta, between the sea and Latvia’s largest gray dune. The second level of the platform offers a good view of the habitats which surround the dune, as well as the seashore and the largest seashore rock on the shores of the Baltic Sea – the Pāvilosta sea rock. You can also see the northern part of Pāvilosta. When it is windy outside, you’ll see kiteboard riders showing their tricks.

The rest complex is situated on the shore of the man-made water reservoir, and there are two saunas on the territory – the Big sauna and the Small sauna. In the building of the Big sauna it is possible to organise different events for as many as 40 people, and in summertime – till 60 people. In the Small sauna – up to 20 people. Apart from the saunas, there are offered 20 different picnic places with tables, places for grills and tents, volleyball playgrounds, boats and water-bicycles for rent.

Die Überreste der Fortifikationen der Kämpfe des 2. Weltkrieges am gegenwärtigen Ufer von Wasserkraftwerk in Ķegums. Ein Feuernest befindet sich ungefähr 1 km südlich – südostlich von dem Damm des Wasserkraftwerks in Ķegums am linken Ufer von Fluss Daugava. Das zweite Feuernest liegt auch am linken Ufer des Flusses dem Campingplatz „Rēzijas” gegenüber. Das Feuernest ist von dem von Wellen des Wasserbassins abgespülten Ufer abgerutscht und bifindet sich teilweise im Wasser. Das letzterwähnte Objekt ist von der Seite des Wasserbassins am besten mit einem Boot zu erreichen.
