The blacksmith will teach you all about his profession, talking about the tools and materials that are necessary, the relevant traditions and the everyday work of blacksmiths today. You can forge your own nail to test the difficulty of the work. The blacksmith will happily attend your event with his open-air forge. This is perfect for students, smaller children, wedding guests or individual visitors.

The rest complex is situated on the shore of the man-made water reservoir, and there are two saunas on the territory – the Big sauna and the Small sauna. In the building of the Big sauna it is possible to organise different events for as many as 40 people, and in summertime – till 60 people. In the Small sauna – up to 20 people. Apart from the saunas, there are offered 20 different picnic places with tables, places for grills and tents, volleyball playgrounds, boats and water-bicycles for rent. |

Since ancient times bread has been our staple food, and formed part of breakfast, lunch and our evening meal. We bake bread from rye, wheat, buckwheat and barley. Both fine-ground and wholemeal flour is used. Bread baking is one of the most honoured traditional skills in Latvia. Caunītes country house keeps Latvian traditions alive and demonstrates them to visitors. The house is designed and decorated in the traditional Latvian style and exudes an authentic ambience while having modern facilities. Under the guidance of the hostess, visitors will bake their own loaf of sweet-and-sour bread in a wood-fired bread oven. In Latvian families it was traditionally one of the main duties of the lady of the house to bake a week’s supply of bread for the whole family every Saturday morning. Every woman was proud of her own unique recipe and passed it down to her daughters and granddaughters through the generations. There are many traditional beliefs, sayings and riddles linked with bread in Latvian folklore. Today, there is great interest in the old recipes, bread-baking methods and the use of organic ingredients as many families are opting for a healthy lifestyle. |

This is one of the most outstanding areas in the entire Baltic States with active underground waterways which still, to this very day, dissolve local gypsum rock. Parts of the area collapse regularly, and there are legends about all of this. Underwater rivers, streams, the so-called Karvės (Cow) cave, etc., can be seen in the area.

Ein kleines, bewaldetes Territorium mit Schwefelquellen, deren bekannteste die Ellīte – Schwefelquelle ist. Sie hat Schwefelwasser mit einen niedrigen Gehalt an Mineralien. Das Wasser hat vermutlich medizinische Eigenschaften. Das Gebiet um den Strom herum ist gut markiert und ein Pfad führt dorthin. Der Strom gilt als Quelle für den Iecava – Fluss. Das Territorium wurde eingerichtet, um die Biotope und Pflanzen des Gebietes zu schützen.

Am westlichen Ufer des Cirma Sees erhebt sich die 1830 von Feldsteinen erbaute Kirche. Ein berühmtes Gemälde der Jungfrau Maria, dem Wunderkräfte zugeschrieben werden, macht das Gotteshaus zu einem beliebten Wallfahrtsziel. |

Die Bauernwirtschaft Iesalnieki-1 befindet sich in der Gemeinde Vietalva der Region Pļaviņas. Der Hauptbereich der Wirtschaft ist Getreidezucht – Raps, Gerste, Weizen und Gräser. Gesamtfläche 180 ha. Interessant ist die Tatsache, dass zwei Brüder mit eigenen Kräften zusammen mehr als 800 ha bewirtschaften. |

Traķu pirmsākumi ir meklējami Senajos Traķos, kas atrodas 4 km dienvidaustrumos no Traķu centra. Uzskata, ka Senos Traķus ir dibinājis Lietuvas dižkunigaitis Ģedimins (~ 1275. – 1341.) 14. gs. pirmajā pusē. 14. gs. otrajā pusē šeit uzcēla mūra pili, no kuras līdz mūsdienām ir saglabājušies tikai nostāvināti zemes vaļņi. Laikā no 1345. – 1382. g. tajā valdīja Ģedimina dēls – Ķēstutis (1297. – 1382.). Senajos Traķos dzimis arī viens no izcilākajiem viduslaiku Lietuvas valdniekiem – Ķēstuta dēls - Vītauts Dižais. Kā pilij, tā arī tās valdniekiem bija nozīmīga loma sekojošajos krusta karos un cīņās. 1391. g. pils tika sagrauta cīņas laikā ar Vācu ordeni, kādēļ arī zaudēja savu stratēģisko nozīmi. 1405. g. benediktīniešu mūki šajā vietā uzcēla baznīcu, bet 18. gs. beigās - jaunu un lielāka apjoma klosteri, kura vienu no korpusiem 1889. g. pārbūvēja par baznīcu. |

Auffällig sind die beiden 60m hohen Türme des im Barockstil erbauten Gotteshaus. Die Kanzel, der Orgelprospekt, die Orgel und ein Beichtstuhl stammen aus dem 18. Jh., die Seitenaltäre vom Beginn des 19. Jh. Im zentralen Teil des Altars befindet sich das Gemälde „Die wundertätige Gottesmutter von Aglona aus dem 17.Jh., dem Heilkräfte zugesagt werden, daher wird es nur zu bedeutenden Zeiten gezeigt. Vor dem Besuch des römischen Papstes Johannes Paul II in Lettland im Jahre 1993 fanden umfangreiche Renovierungs- und Umbauarbeiten am Kirchenkomplex statt. Alljährlich kommen am 15. August Pilger nach Aglona, um das Fest Mariä Himmelfahrt zu feiern. Etwa 100m von der Basilika befindet sich die heilige Quelle Aglonas Svētavots. |

Маршрут проходит по территории природного парка «Излучины Даугавы». Парк создан с целью сохранения уникальных ландшафтов древней долины Даугавы, биологического многообразия и богатейшего культурно-исторического наследия. Наибольшую высоту берега реки достигают в т.н. «Воротах Даугавы», где возвышаются Верверский и Слутишкский обрывы. С Приедайнской смотровой вышки открывается вид на древнюю долины Даугавы с высоты птичьего полета. В 2015 году в Васаргелишках и на горе Лаздукалнс были построены новые смотровые вышки.
