The recreation complex "Pazust Priedēs" is a newly created recreation area in the village of Bernāti - a 7-minute walk from the beach. This is a chance to learn about the life of a beekeeper. You’ll be given an appropriate costume to watch bees in their hive, walk down the trail of bees, and climb a tree with the help of a hoist. Guests have access to three two-person glamping tents in a unique place in the Veclaicene Parish, which is right by the border between Latvia and Estonia. In 2015 owners of ''Zeltlejas'' started to develop the first sea buckthorn plantations, but in 2018 the area where the sea buckthorn is grown for berry extraction was 24 hectares. Only one breed of sea buckthorn trees with high oil and carotenoid content is grown in the garden. But strawberries are grown in the greenhouses, that's why they are ripen already in the spring. Various events on different topics like healthy eating, cooking, gardening are also organized. |

Ein ausgezeichneter Bio-Hof, auf dem lettgallische Traditionen gepflegt, Milchprodukte (auch Käse) hergestellt, einheimische Kulturpflanzen (diese kann man auch erwerben) angebaut und die lettgallische Rauchsauna angeboten werden, in der als Saunameister die Wirte arbeiten. Meisterkurse im Backen von Torten organisiert. Lettische Küche: Bauernsuppe (Fleischbrühe mit Grützen), gefüllte Kartoffelpfannkuchen Gulbešnīki, Kartoffelwürste (geriebene unreife Kartoffeln mit gebratenem Schweinfleisch und Zwiebeln), schwarze Johannisbeeren mit Schlagsahne, Kümmelstangen, Kräutertees, Quark mit Sauerrahm, Pfannkuchen aus Sauermilch. Das besondere Gericht: Im Ofen gebackener Karpfen oder gebackene Schleie aus dem eigenen Teich. |

DabaLaba is in one of the places in Latvia that has the very lowest population density per square kilometre. There are huge forests around our venue with lots of animals, clean rivers and lovely forest lakes. DabaLaba launched operations in 2010 by renting boats. The next season we set up an archery range and started to offer guided tours of the surrounding environment – hikes, safari trips down the forest roads of the “Ance Swamps and Forests” restricted area, interesting, merry and lovely moments outdoors, hunting with your camera, as well as special trips for schoolchildren. Boats and SUP boards can be rented in Irbe, Rinda, Stende, Engure and Lonaste (or elsewhere on the basis of a separate agreement). Since August 2018, DabaLaba has offered the restaurant #Mežā during the summer months. It is in the centre of the forest and offers pure, tasty and healthy dishes made of local ingredients and no preservatives or additives. The menu has dishes for vegetarians and vegans, as well as dishes with no gluten and no lactose. We also have a country sauna where two people can spend the night after taking their sauna.
