The Vecročupe river flows out of the artificial Vaide pond. It was created by blocking the Vaide and the Kukšupe rivers. This happened during the Soviet occupation, when forestry people decided to establish a fishing pond and an area for recreations. A wooden pergola has been installed at the pond, and there is an information stand, as well. On the northern shore of the pond is the Vaide cemetery, which dates back to 1928 and has interesting wooden crosses. |

Some 200 fallow deer live in large paddocks at the park, and the largest deer sorting facility in the Baltic States is right next door. You can look at the animals from up close. The owner organises educational camps for children and offers consultations on the breeding of animals. |

The guest house is located in Varnja Old Believers village and on the Onion Route - a destination on the shores of Lake Peipsi, the largest lake in Estonia and the trans-border lake of the European Union. It is about 45 km from Tartu. It offers the oppurtunity to experience authentic accommodation in a real home of an Old Believer family. Everything from the furnishing up to spoons and forks is as authentic as possible. The house has three rooms that can accommodate up to 10 people. This is part of a hiking trail along the Cena bog. It is on the western side of the bog, at the centre of the 5-kilometre circular trail. You can see the vast swamp, as well as a military road that was installed during World War I and is marked by an “alley” of large pine trees. Alongside the tower is a fragment of the road that was installed more recently.

Auf den umliegenden Feldern der Wirtschaft, die in dem Dienerhaus des ehemaligen Landgutes von Ķempēni haust, weiden mehr als 200 Lettische Schwarzköpfige Schafe (diese Rasse wurde in Lettland in den 1920er bis 1930er Jahren gezüchtet). Hier kann man Fleisch, Wolle und Felle kaufen, sowie an einer Führung mit Verkostung teilnehmen. |

The Bauska Castle contains a collection of cast iron cannons which date back to the latter half of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th century. They were manufactured in the Duchy of Courland. The cannons that are in the garden of the castle were not found there – they were found in different locations in Zemgale. Four of the largest cannons came from Jaunsvirlauka, where they were found on the banks of the Lielupe River opposite Emburga. They are the best preserved weapons of their type in Latvia. The only cannon that was found in the castle itself is currently in its South-eastern tower as a thematic exhibit. When it was being cleaned, two cannonballs were found in the weapons. The local Livonian Order castle is in ruins, but it and its defensive structures, including earthen ramparts that were installed from the mid-15th until the early 18th century, represent an important element of Latvia’s military heritage.

Gar teritorijas ziemeļu robežu iet Nagļu - Degumnieku ceļš (iekļaujas kopējā Lubāna dambju sistēmā), pa kuru apkārt Lubāna ezeram izveidots velomaršruts. Tas nozīmē, ka teritoriju var aplūkot arī "no malas", netraucējot tās dabiskās norises. Teritorija ietilpst arī Lubāna mitrāja kompleksā.

It is the bicycle collection of father and son Jānis and Guntis Seregins, which is the only collection of antique bicycles in Latvia. They have been collecting cycles since 1977 when they joined the Antique Automobile Club and became fascinated with Latvia’s cycling traditions. The collection’s core is formed from technically unusual bicycles. In total, the museum has approximately 70 Latvian-made and used bicycles. Besides bicycles there are many other pieces of cycling ephemera relating to sport, cycle clubs and bicycle production. The museum has an extensive collection of bicycle brands, bringing together 1000 badges from all over the world. Guided excursions available. |

Viens no lielākajiem cilvēka veidotajiem Latvijasparkiem (70 ha), kas izstiepies no Liepājas ostas līdz Dienvidu fortam > 3 km garumā. Tā izveidi uzsāka jau 1870. g. pēc pilsētas mēra K. Ūliha iniciatīvas, uzbūvējot kūrmāju un strūklaku. 19. - 20. gs. mijā ap Dzintaru un Liepu ielām parādījās greznu villu un savrupmāju apbūve. Viena no skaistākajām ir jūgendstilā celtā savrupmāja Liepu ielā 27, kurā atrodas Krievijas ģenerālkonsultāts. Ēkai ir slēgta uzeja, balkoni, pildrežģa konstrukcijas un kārniņu jumts (arhitekti G. Jenike un P. M. Berči). Jūrmalas parks visās sezonās ir iecienīta pastaigu un dažādu aktivitāšu norises vieta. Te meklējams stadions „Daugava”, tenisa korti, koncertestrāde “Pūt, vējiņi!”, vasaras kafejnīcas, minigolfa laukums, bērnu rotaļu laukums, skeitparks. Šeit meklējamas lielākās Latvijas bungas – vides dizaina objekts. |

Die orthodoxe Kirche des Heiligen Geistes und das Männerkloster, sowie die sich auf dem Gelände des Klosters befindliche orthodoxe Kirche des Heiligen Nikolaus des Wundertäters befinden sich in Jēkabpils, in der Brīvības Straße 200. Die byzantinisch-orthodoxe Kirche des Heiligen Geisteswurde von 1853 bis 1886 gebaut, aber die vorigen Kirchen wurden im 17. Jh. an der Stelle des im Jahr 1773 abgebrannten Gotteshauses gebaut, für dessen Bau der kurländische Herzog Jakob Holz zur Verfügung gestellt hatte. An der Kirche befand sich der Männerkloster des Heiligen Geistes, aber im Jahr 1903 brach zu Ostern in dem Kloster ein Feuer aus, in dem nur das Gemälde der Jungfrau Maria erhalten blieb. Die Kirche hat im Ersten Weltkrieg gelitten, aber sie wurde im Jahr 1933 erneuert. Neben der Kirche des Heiligen Geistes befindet sich das älteste Gotteshaus von Jēkabpils – die im Jahr 1774 gebaute gemauerte Kirche, die im Namen des Heiligen Nikolaus des Wundertäters genannt ist. Diese Kirche zeichnet sich durch ihre kleinen Maße (17 x 19,5 Meter) aus. Heute haust hier das Kloster der orthodoxen Kirche des Heiligen Geistes, den man auch von innen besichtigen kann. Dieser Gebäudekomplex ist von einem eindrucksvollen und den lettischen Städten nicht charakteristischen Mauerzaun aus dem 17. Jh. eingeschlossen. |

Der Wirt hat am Hang des Flusses Abuls das erste Mal in Lettland (1996) angefangen, amerikanische Heidelbeere zu züchten. Jetzt grünen hier weite Felder mit diesen Beeren. Verkauf von Beeren und Setzlingen, Führung mit Verkostung und Beratung, Garteneinrichtung und Planung von Grünanpflanzungen. |

Territory established mainly for protection of bog myrtle and various bird species. An interesting fact is that bog myrtle or sweet gale is used as ingredient for making famous Riga Black Balsam. Brienamais purvs (wade bog) is hard to find and reach therefore it is not suitable for tourism.

Das Schloss in Kurtuvėnai ist von einem alten, teils geometrisch angelegten, teils naturnah belassenen Landschaftspark umgeben. In der 2. Hälfte des 19. Jh. war er als naturnaher Landschaftspark ausgeführt mit nur einigen geometrischen Elementen. In dem 4,2 Hektar großen Park grünen noch immer alte Linden, Ahorne, Eschen, Eichen und andere dekorative Bäume und Sträucher, insgesamt mehr als 20 Arten Bäume und Sträucher |
