This is a tour for families, especially with children. You will see a potter at work and will have a chance to try your own hand at pottery. You will visit the unbelievable Munchausen's museum and the castle of Cēsis with its ghost stories. At the "Zaķīši" farm, the kids will enjoy playing with rabbits in open area enclosures. The hosts at the deer garden will tell you about deer and wild boar and you will watch the animals from viewing towers. The exotic animal farm will show African ostrich, moufflons, ponies and dwarf pigs.

Travel by car: Rīga- Saulkrasti- Dunte- Limbaži- Āraiši- Līgatne
Sights and attractions en route:
- Forest hiking trail of the Baron forn Munchausen in Dunte;
- The Cepļi pottery where dishes and other interestion objects are made from clay, rock and other ceramics;
- The medieval Old Town of Cēsis and the castle ruins where can have a guided tour in candle light;
- The Āraiši ezerpils- ancient Latvian settlement right in the lake Araišu. The log cabins of this small fortification have been authentically reconstructed. The Āraiši windmill is nearby;
- Kids can play with rabbits at “Zaķīši”, one of largest rabbit breeding farms in Latvia. Rabbits can be seen in open-air paddoc
- Zvārtes cliff on the bank's of Amata river where in the Witch meadow is exposition “What do witches find in meadows”.

Sights and attractions en route:
- The Līgatne nature park – walking along trails and from a viewing tower, you can watch deer, racoons, bears, aurochs and other animals;
- Saulstari deer garden with more than 200 bucks and fallow deer, with four viewing platforms from which the animals can be observed;
- Exotic and wild animal collection with some 50 kinds of birds, including 12 African ostriches, ponies and dwarf pigs;
- The Livonian Order castle in the Turaida museum reserve. Kids can see armours of medieval knights and other things, found in excavations on the site of the castle.

Return to Rīga.
