The Svene Nature Park is in the central part of the Augšzeme highlands, and Lake Svente is at its centre. This is one of the cleanest lakes in Latvia. There is also Egļukalns Hill, which offers one of the most beautiful views in all of Zemgale from its viewing tower. Visitors can gaze at the hillocks and lakes of the Svente area. Egļukalns Hill also has ski trails and a nature trail. |

Territory is not attractive for a visitor without environmental knowledge and is very hard to find and reach through swampy forests on the North from Riva village. Area is not intended and appropriate for visits.

В период с 1883 – 1891 гг. бывшую господскую усадьбу рода Шадурских арендовал отец Райниса Кришьянис Плиекшанс. Молодой поэт Райнис провел здесь молодые годы, что отражено в «земле молодых дней» поэта. В «Ясмуйже» переведена драма A. Пушкина «Борис Годунов». За вклад поэта в 1964 году в доме управляющего господской усадьбой создана экспозиция «Гимназические и студенческие годы Райниса». В восстановленном хлеве господской усадьбы выставлены работы гончаров Латгалии. «Ясмуйжу» стоит посетить в Дни поэзии или во время открытия печи (в июне и августе). |

The recently renovated old brick bridge and the viewing area that is on the left bank of the Venta beyond the castle guard’s hut offers a lovely view of the widest and most impressive waterfall in Latvia – the Venta falls. It is worth visiting during the spring floods, when fish are migrating.

Во время Пилтенского епископства, в середине XIII в., был возведен замок типа конвента. Поздние пристройки замка возводились в XVI и XIX вв., создавая, таким образом, характерный для замка внутренний двор. В 30 года XIX в. фасад замка приобрел современные видимые неоготические формы. В период времени с XVI столетия до 1920 г. Эндольский замок был собственностью рода баронов Беров. После пожара в 1905 г. замок восстановили в течение двух лет. Известен историями о привидениях, о свадьбе гномов, о пятнах крови в Красной комнате замка, которые появлялись на месте убийства. Чтобы спрятать появляющиеся пятна крови, был построен камин, но пятна появлялись снова. После приватизации восстановлены интерьеры, залы, погреба, которые украшены характерными для замка элементами. Помещения замка и смотровая башня доступны для посетителей. В парке находится аллея Любви и дуб Гномов. |

The park was founded by the gardener Arvīds Janitens. Professor Raimonds Cinovskis has said that Arvīds is just amazing, because he alone did work that would usually be done by a big group of people. This is one of the most popular tourism destinations of its kind in Latvia.

Mulgima or Mulgi is a cultural and historical region in the south of Estonia. The part of Viljandi county located south of the rivers Raudna and Tenasilma was considered to be region of Mulgimaa. In ancient times, Mulgi farmers were famous for their sharp minds and determination, which helped to buy land from German-Baltic nobles and become rich farmers. The icons of Mulgi culture - the dialect, the well-known men's long black jacket and the traditional Mulgi porridge - have survived to this day. |

Rīgas – Daugavpils šosejas (A 6) malā (vietā, kur no Zemkopības institūta nogriežas ceļš uz Skrīveriem) redzama zema ieplaka ar Kraukļu akmeni, kas ir sena kulta vieta. Pie akmens veikti arheoloģiskie izrakumi, kuru laikā atrastas senlietas. Vecākā ir no 12. gadsimta. Akmens aprakstīts slavenajā Andreja Upīša (1877. – 1970.) darbā „Sūnu ciema zēni”. |

Laidze Parish Farm "Cukuriņi" is engaged in sea buckthorn cultivation. The farm covers about 10,000 sea buckthorns on an area of 6 hectares. The fields are treated with a computerized irrigation system. The owners of the grown berries both sell and process it themselves, obtaining sea buckthorn juice, oil and frozen berries. |

Established: 1890. The Wagner Garden is located near Lake Jumprava. Its originator was Friedrich Wagner, who grew fruit trees, decorative shrubs and flowers. This garden contains one of Latvia’s oldest and best collections of foreign trees and shrubs. There are trails for perambulations in the park.
