This is a cemetery that was originated in the Middle Ages and used until the beginning of the 20th century.  A mossy stone fence surrounds the cemetery.  Interesting elements in the cemetery include the grave of Heinrihs Jakobsons (1832-1911), who was the first schoolteacher in Mazirbe (the old metal cross is to the left of the main gate), a pine tree of national importance and has a circumference of 3.17 metres (during the Soviet Union someone drilled a hole in the trunk of the tree to access honey), the grave of Niks Freimanis (1845-1908), who is said to have been the prototype for a character in a story and play by Marģers Zariņš, and the Werewolf Grave, which relates to countless ghost stories, including the claim that it is the only known gravesite of a werewolf in Latvia.

The “Lamb Club” is a farm in Mazsalaca, and it is special because the sheep live in a real club!  The owners offer the atmosphere of a farm at which the sheep play major roles.  Enjoy mutton and sheep milk foods and beverages, feel how comfortable it is to read your favourite while sitting on a fluffy sheepskin, and, in order not to get cold by the campfire in the evening, you can purchase warm woollen socks and woven woollen cloaks.

The owners hope that people from Latvia and all around the world will spend more time at the farm, because accommodations involve a new glamping tent that is as close as possible to nature and the healthy rural environment.  Don’t lose a lick of the comfort that you are used to in your everyday life!

The owners, Ilze and Valters, will be happy to give you a tour during which they talk about herding sheep.  If you contact them in advance, they will prepare a tasty mutton meal for you.  The tour can also be supplemented with various activities such as games, quizzes and creative workshops at which sheep wool is utilised.
 

Nepilnus 3 km garā taka iepazīstina ar dziļo Imulas ieleju – Abavas kreisā krasta pieteku. Īpaši iespaidīga ieleja izskatās bezlapu periodā, kad ir apjaušami tās izmēri un formas. Viens no takas iespaidīgākajiem objektiem ir Buses jeb Matkules pilskalns. Apskatāmi citi objekti – Baznīckalns, Bedrīšakmens, Ķauķa kalns ar avotiņu. Atrodas dabas parkā „Abavas senleja”.

Дом Лаймес – это экологическая постройка цилиндрической формы из еловой древесины с большим круглым зеркальным окном. У дома Лаймес характерная форма круглой бочки, что придает ей оригинальность и красивый дизайн. На одном конце дома расположено большое полукруглое окно, через которое открывается красивый пейзаж за окном. Кровать в доме расположена прямо у окна, для того, чтобы предоставить незабываемые, романтические ощущения при единении с окружающим пейзажем и природой. 

This is an open territory which is 3.5 km long and 2 km wide.  It is located on the left bank of the Lielupe River between the village of Pavasari and the Odiņi homestead.  The polder was established during the Soviet era to obtain farmland, and back then it was used very intensively.  Today, it is slowly becoming overgrown, and despite this, this is one of the most important locations in Europe for corn-crakes.  A gravel road crosses the polder from the North to the South, and this is an excellent place to hear the songs of the corn-crake.

Находится в Крустпилсе, ул. Ригас 216б. Первое упоминание о Крустспилсском замке относится к 1237 году. В то время Рижский епископ Николай де Магдебург возвел замок Крейцбург, который стал первой крепостью крестоносцев в Латгалии. В конце 16 столетия, вплоть до начала 20 века, замок находился в собственности рыцаря Николая Корфа (и последующих поколений). В ходе времен замок многократно опустошался и перестраивался. Несмотря на это, до наших дней сохранился характерный для замков средневековья закрытый двор. В середине 19 столетия замок приобрел теперешний интерьер стиля историзма. Сохранились и элементы более древней застройки - надвратная башня замка, основные стены корпуса, бойницы, конструкции сводов, проемы окон и др. В советское время в замке располагалась воинская часть СССР, а рядом образовался военный городок - современное название «Район Замка», который с запада обрамляет Замковый пруд. С 1994 года в замке располагается Екабпилсский исторический музей, с экспозициями которого можно ознакомиться в сопровождении гида или индивидуально. Сегодня замок является одним из тех немногих туристических объектов Латвии, ознакомиться с которым можно в сопровождении аудиогида. Красивый вид приоткрывается с башни замка.

Eine der malerischischen Burgberge am Fluss Nemunas mit schöner Sicht aufs Flusstal. In 13 – 14 Jh. befand sich hier eine militäre Festung, die nicht erhalten ist.
