Впечатляющие походы Мооска – это прекрасная возможность познакомиться с культурным наследием Вырумаа: баня по-черному и обычаи ее посещения, традиционное копчение мяса зимой в бане, а летом – в выложенной камнями коптильной яме. С образом жизни южных эстонцев, связанным с природой, и с их восприятием природы Вас познакомит поход в Вяллямяэ, где проводятся также походы с тренировкой дыхания, игры по ориентированию, походы с палками и болотоступами. Оптимальный размер группы – до 12 человек.

В 1992 г. Литовский институт садоводства и огородничества получил статус государственного научно-исследовательского учреждения. Он ведет не только научную, но и экспериментально-производственную деятельность. Институт выращивает литовские сорта фруктов и овощей и изготавливает из них высококачественные, здоровые и натуральные продукты.

В основанном в 1982-ом году музее можно познакомиться с жизнью и бытом данного региона начиная со второй половины 19-го века до недавнего прошлого. В парках на 17 га музейной территории можно увидеть 200 различных видов деревьев и кустарников. Можно поучаствовать в различных тематических днях- испечь хлеб или познакомиться с датами Эстонского народного календаря. Из музея можно попасть на природную и культурологическую учебную тропу Велизе.

Eine gut eingerichtete Strecke des Flusses Driksa (ein Nebenarm des Flusses Lielupe) mit einer zweistufigen Promenade, der im Baltikum einzigartigen Brücke Mītava, Aussichtsplätzen, dem Denkmal Student von Jelgava u.a.

Находится в южной части города, на улице Синицина, 4. Храм построен в 1895 г., а в 1906 г. перестроен. На колокольне находится три литых из серебра и меди колокола (отреставрированные), один из которых является самым тяжелым в странах Балтии ( вес 4832 кг, язык колокола весит 200 кг)! Рядом расположен музей, который знакомит с культурной средой старообрядцев и церковной жизнью.

На крестьянском рынке в Пярну можно купить товары разных категорий, изготовленные малыми производителями Pärnumaa и других регионов, а также испеченный на месте хлеб и кондитерские изделия.

The route leads mostly through the Gauja National Park where you will see the most beautiful river valley in the Baltic States. It is the ancient Gauja River valley with gorgeous flora and fauna and the mightiest Devonian-period sandstone cliffs, in the region. While riding the route, you can study Latvia's most brilliant medieval city, Cēsis. You can visit medieval castles and castle ruins there and in Sigulda. A guide will take through underground bunkers in Līgatne which were secret in soviet times and have no analogue in North-eastern Europe. You will then pass through the beautiful Otepaa highlands and the Lahemaa National Park in Estonia. The old town of Tallinn is on the UNESCO list of world cultural heritage.

The Grey Dune of Pāvilosta nature reserve covers 42 hectares of land and has been designated to protect Latvia’s widest dune (1.5 km parallel the seacoast, and 812m in the direction from the sea to inland) and the biotopes and species found there. A two-storied watching platform is built to savour the scenery.

 In Soviet time, local fishermen used to dry seaweed in dunes for production of agar, and thus rich vegetation developed in the dune. The Gray Dune is part of a unique landscape with the sea view, the traditional architecture of Pāvilosta fishing town, and biotopes, including protected, which border the nature reserve: pine forest, embryonic dunes, white dunes, and wet beech where once can find springs. Biotope 2130, “Fixed dunes with herbaceous vegetation (grey dunes)” is found here. At present, pines are taking over the biotope, therefore some maintenance activities are required. The Grey Dune is most beautiful in the second half of July and in August when the blossoming Breckland Thyme (Thymus serpyllum) and Narrowleaf Hawkweed (Hieracium umbellatum) colour the dune in shades of yellow and violet. The most typical species here are Pasqueflower (Pulsatilla pretense), Grey Hair-grass(Corynephorus canescens), Blue Hair Grass (Koeleria glauca), Sand Pink (Dianthus arenarius).

The Gray Dune earned wide recognition when a group of enthusiasts actively campaigned for six years to achieve the status of the nature reserve. Guna Grimsta, a group representative remembers that they organised events and activities throughout Latvia involving large part of the society, prominent personalities, church parishes, NGOs, school youth and university students. The activists were writing letters, making videos, doing research articles, composing music, collecting signatures and submitting proposals to achieve official status of the Grey Dune as an especially protected nature site. They organised seminars, concerts, art plenaires and exhibitions, educational excursions, joint-work, musical church services, meetings with high officials and their on-site visits to the Gray Dune.

In 2006 the group received the title „Proudness of Latvia” awarded by the national TV3 broadcasting company and daily paper „Diena”.
The nature reserve „Gray Dune of Pāvilosta” was established in October 30, 2007. It is the most recent Natura2000 site in Latvia.
