This venue organises seminars, courses and activities related to Latvian holidays and family celebrations.  There are master’s classes about culinary heritage in Latvia, musical instruments that can be played, and demonstrations of various handicrafts, including weaving, knitting, crocheting, etc.  The ladies of the house prepare tasty porridges, soups, herbal teas, chicory coffee, pastries and pierogi.  Visitors can learn about folk dances, games and songs.  Wedding performances are also available.

Dievnams celts (1851. g.) un vēlāk (1876. g.) paplašināts. Tas tika sagrauts 2. Pasaules kara laikā un pēcāk atjaunots. Līdz Latvijas neatkarības atgūšanai to izmantoja par skolas sporta zāli. Pēc draudzes darbības atsākšanas (1989. g.) sākās arī baznīcas un ar to saistīto tradīciju atdzimšana. Apskatāma no iekšpuses.

We offer a private collection of ancient tools, household items and technologies which we began to assemble in 2002.  Right now we have more than 5,000 objects of cultural and historical objects on display, as well as a lovely garden with countless compositions of colourful flowers, fountains, an Eastern meditation bridge, ponds, a pergola, leafy areas, etc.  The garden covers more than 2 ha, and it is located 1 km from Lazdukalns.

Barke von Peipussee ist ein Segelboot, das im Gebiet Peipussee und Fluss Emajõgi zum Gütertransport benutzt wurde. Spezielle für hiesige Verhältnisse passende Boote wurden schon im 14. Jahrhundert gebaut. Im Jahr 2006 hat man nach fünfzig Jahren Pause wieder eine Barke am Fluss Emajõgi gebaut und als „Jõmmu" genannt. Der Barke-Verein (Emajõe Lodjaselts) organisiert verschiedene Vergnügungsreisen auf dem Fluss Emajõgi und auf dem Peipussee. Die Barke "Jõmmu" wartet auf kleinere Barke-Fans, um die traditionelle Handwerk und Schiffbau zu präsentieren.

Baznīcas iekšpusē atrodas nozīmīgi mākslas pieminekļi: altāris (1699. g., pārbūvēts 1861. g., mākslinieks J. Dērings), kancele (1762. g.) un ērģeļu prospekts (1766. g.) – abi Nikolaja fon Korfa dāvinājums, draudzes soli (17. gs. vidus – 18. gs. sāk.), senākais no koka veidotais Bauskas ģerboņa attēlojums (1640. g.), deviņas 16. – 17. gs. kapu plāksnes, epitāfijas u.c. Baznīca, kurā ir vērts ieiet!

Liela meža masīva vidū gleznainās Būkas (Būka) upes krastos starp kokiem ieslēpies teiksmainais Vaišnoriškes ciems. Šis ir viens no skaistākajiem nacionālā parka etnogrāfiskajiem ciemiem. Vaišnoriške kā apdzīvota vieta sākusi veidoties 1756. g., kad šeit sena vēsturiska ceļa malā darbojies krogs. Pirmā viensēta ciematā ir zināma no 1830. g. Šodien redzamā apbūve ir tapusi g.k. 20. gs. sākumā. Ciems ir palicis cilvēku atmiņās ar liepu medu, jo meža velšu vākšana un biškopība bija viena no galvenajām šejieniešu nodarbēm. Tagad ciemā ir piecas sētas. No Vaišnoriškes var uzsākt laivu braucienu pa seklo un dzidro Būku.

Here you will learn about home-based manufacturers, farms, companies and others in southern Vidzeme that produce various dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese, ice cream, etc.  From Rīga, take the Vidzeme Highway and turn toward Mālpils.  On the way to Ērgļi and Jumurda, you’ll be delighted by the hillocks of the Vidzeme highlands and the lovely landscape that they represent.  Near Ērgļi you will find Braki, the home of the classical Latvian author Rūdolfs Blaumanis, Meņģeļi, home of the Jurjāns brothers, and the Jumurda Estate.  Drive on through Cesvaine, stopping to look at its impressive castle, and on to Madona, where you can have a delicious meal.  From Madona, follow the lovely banks of the Daugava River to Koknese (Destiny Island, the Koknese castle, park and church), and on to Skrīveri, where the author Andrejs Upītis was born.  There’s a homemade ice cream place and the factory that produces the universally known penuche candy that is sold under the “Gotiņa” brand name in Latvia.  Then drive to Ogre for some Sierštelle cheeses and then back to Rīga.

Here the visitor will find an ecological tourism trail in the ancient Embūte valley. The hills around Embūte date back to the Ice Age. There are valleys and forests of many fallen trees which are protected habitats. The visitor will learn about important natural and cultural monuments – the Embūte castle hill, as well as the ruins of a baronial estate, a castle and a church. The Courlandian chieftain Indulis died in the region. The visitor can view the Devil’s Dam, along with meadows, a viewing tower, etc. There are bicycler routes in the region. The site is located in the Embūte nature park.

Находится в стороне от площади Куршу, ул. Э.Венденбаума, д. 1. Старейшая церковь города, сведения о которой сохранились с 1508 года. Первый храм на этом месте был построен из дерева. После неоднократных перестроек (последняя – в 1893 г. под руководством архитектора Лиепаи Пауля Макса Берчи) храм приобрел теперешний вид в неоготическом стиле с башней высотой около 60 м. Церковный интерьер славится одним из самых выдающихся шедевров времен барокко в Латвии – алтарем (резчик по дереву Николя Сефренс младший), который в 2012 году отметил свое 350-летие.Алтарь считается одной из самых выдающихся работ Восточной Европы того времени. Ретабло алтаря (5,8 x 9,7 м) известно тематическим циклом страданий Иисуса. В храме находится третий по величине орган Латвии, который построен по эскизам композитора и органиста Альфреда Калниньша. Церковь можно осмотреть изнутри и подняться на колокольню.

Находится в 1,2 км к югу от центра Гипки, на другой стороне дороги Юрмала – Колка (P 131). Трудно поверить, что эта церковь, выстроенная из булыжников, построена совсем недавно – после 1992 года, поскольку предыдущая сгорела в советское время – в 1979 г. Иронично обстоятельство, что в башне церкви после Второй мировой войны находился наблюдательный пожарный пост Дундагского лесничества. Во время пожара погиб великолепный алтарь и орган, но алтарную картину „Христос на кресте” удалось спасти. Теперь храм снова служит своему основному назначению.

Near the Lielauce manor house start of a wooden pathway which crosses the transition-type swamp that is on the shore of Lake Lielauce to a boating facility near the open part of the lake. Boating and fishing are possible – here, too, the population of fish is regularly restored. The area is a part of the Vīķi swamp restricted zone.
