"Lauku ceļotājs" invites you to the "Open Days in the Countryside" campaign!

4-6 May 2018 in Latvia and 11-13 May in Lithuania

The campaign has already become a tradition – to start the summer tourism and production season with wide open doors, inviting all interested parties, customers, neighbors and the simply curious to farms to introduce them to the rich offer that can be seen, tasted, heard and felt in the countryside. This will be the second year that the campaign will take place in both Latvia and Lithuania.

The aim of the campaign is to promote rural areas, products grown, produced, and prepared in rural areas, and services, as well as to encourage residents of large and small cities to leave the city to explore rural life, taste rural delicacies, find farms from which to purchase products grown and produced in rural areas, and enjoy the activities and sensations that can be experienced in the countryside.

This year, the focus of the campaign is on farms and places open to visitors, where you can learn about and experience agricultural processes from the beginnings to modern production, demonstrations and master classes, introducing the application of ancient heritage in modern times (fish smoking, bread, baking, pottery, etc.).

To find out what each farm offers on the days of the promotion, opening hours and rules, go to the section >>> "PARTICIPANTS" of this promotion page and look for information under the profile of the specific farm. You can select farm offers by dates. Choose a date and farm and head to the countryside!
