Near Mākoņkalns hill there is a trail that is mowed in the summer and leads to several historical rocks – Plakanais (Flat) rock, Āža muguras (Ram's Back) rock (on which you can clamber), and the Jaunstašuļi Velna pēdas (Devil's Footprint) rock, on the surface of which is a shape similar to a human footprint.  There are signs along the side of the road leading to the trail.

Found on the right bank of the Saka River at Dzintaru Street 1, the museum is in the first red brick and fieldstone building in Pāvilosta.  It was built in 1879 for ship pilots.  The museum focuses on the history of the local region, particularly in terms of fishing and seafaring.  Among the exhibits are stone and bone axes, bronze brooches and belts, as well as a unique honey press, all of which have been found in the Saka Parish.  Alongside the museum is a boathouse with larger exhibits.  A mansard that was opened in 2012 is a site for exhibitions and thematic events.  The museum’s phone number is +371-6349-8276.  Make sure that you also visit the oldest part of Pāvilosta – Āķgals, which is a typical coastline village from the 19th and early 20th century.

The Kurzeme Peninsula has the largest landscape of hillocks and valleys in Europe in the shoreline segment from Melnsils and Kolka to Oviši and Liepene.  It is a unique landscape in Latvia, and part of it is in the Slītere National Park.  The Pēterezers Nature Trail offers the best chance to look at the landscape.  There are hillocks and valleys elsewhere, too – near shoreline villages where the Kukšupe valley (one of the longest ones – 8 km in all) is crossed by the Ventspils-Kolka highway, as well as near Apakšceļš.  The only thing is that you need to learn how to spot the areas out in nature.

Visitors can also commission decorative objects that are produced from wood. The artist also produces crucifixes. The History Centre Wittenstein is located in the Livonian Order castle on the rampart hill in Paide, where a time machine lift transports visitors through historic events and periods. Nature restricted area is established to protect various wetland habitats – Big Kirba Bog and protected plant species within it. Only the West part of the Bog is a protected nature area. The rest of the bog is used mainly for intensive extraction of peat and large cranberry cultivation. This is appropriate for active hikers who enjoy looking at nature and learning about cultural and historical environments.  The hike is down the valley of the most impressive river in the Baltic States – the Gauja, as well as the deep and ancient valley of one of its tributaries – the Amata.  Lovely Devonian sandstone cliffs rise above both sides of the rivers.  The Līgatne Paper Factory village is an outstanding example of industrial heritage at the European level, with a unique environment from the 19th and 20th century.  The Cēsis castle that is at the end of the route was once the mightiest Medieval fortress in Livonia.

Located on the side of the Daugavpils-Krāslava (A6) road in Naujene, the museum features a replica of the room of a wealthy Latvian farmer with household objects from the 19th and 20th century.  Younger visitors will be interested in Latvia's only diorama, "Underwater World," which will introduce them to the inhabitants of the Daugava River.  An outdoor exhibition, "Daugava of the Heart," has information about the protected Curves of Daugava Nature Park and the protected Upper Daugava landscape region, as well as local cultural and historical values.  The museum offers creative workshops and educational programmes.  There is an apple orchard to the east of the museum.  On the opposite side of the road, is the Juzefova (Juzepova) Park, which once was a baronial estate owned by Duke Bogdan Shahno.  It no longer exists.  The park has pathways, relaxation areas and information stands about the history of the park and the most interesting trees that are found therein.  You will need at least one hour to walk through the park.

The saloon is located near the Kuldīga ring road. This is a slow-serve saloon with foods cooked on alder wood on the basis of the slow food principle. The saloon offers “meals in the garden”.

This is one of the most beautiful gardens in Nīca, particularly featuring hostas and maple trees.  There are more than 130 varieties of hostas, as well as 25 maple trees.  The large pond features fish that can be fed, and visitors will enjoy the beauty of the garden.  Guests will particularly enjoy the impressive homestead sign that was created after a long search.  The garden has done will in beautiful garden competitions at the level of Nīca and the level of Latvia.

This lighthouse is in Ovīši, which is an ancient Livonian village. The 38-metre lighthouse on Cape Ovīši was built in 1814 and modernised in 1860, and it is the oldest functioning lighthouse in Latvia today. Visitors will get a great view of the shores of the Baltic Sea and the forests which cover them. The lighthouse also offers an exhibition devoted to the history of lighthouses in Latvia.
