Am Ufer der Venta erhebt sich eine wahre Perle der Holzarchitektur - die mit romantischen Geschichten und Legenden umwobene und unlängst erneuerte „Villa Bangert“. Man erzählt sich, dass ein gewisser Kapitän Bangert dieses Gebäude seiner Braut in Paris gekauft habe. Seit 1940 befindet sich in diesem Haus das Heimatmuseum der Stadt Kuldiga. In dem Museum hat man nach der Rekonstruktion der Räume die einzigartigen Wandmalereien und verschiedene andere Details im Interieur wiederhergestellt und somit eine Exposition – die Wohnung der Familie Bangert -  geschaffen, die uns ein Bild davon gibt, wie eine wohlhabende kuldigaer Familie zu Beginn der 20er Jahre gelebt hat. Ausserdem kann man hier auch die Kollektion des Spielkarten- Sammlers Jāņis Mētra sehen.

The Baltic Coastal Hiking Route starts at the center of Mazirbe village where you can see the Livonian National House. Continuing through small forest and country roads past the former Mazirbe Naval school, it winds through small coastal Livonian villages: Košrags, Pitrags and then Saunags. The Livonian coast is the only place where you can get to know the cultural history heritage of one of the smallest peoples in the world, the Livonians. In this section, the indicating signs are in both the Latvian and Livonian language. At the end of route you will see Cape Kolka, the point where the Great Wave Sea meets the Little Wave Sea. It is one of the most popular bird-watching sites on the Baltic seacoast.

Lodes muižas ēkas izvietojušās t.s. Lodes – Taurenes subglaciālās iegultnes (cauri tek Gauja) austrumu nogāzē. Muižas apbūve tapusi 19. gs. pirmajā pusē, bet kungu māju (klasicisma stils) cēla 1815. g. Pēdējie īpašnieki, kas šeit saimniekoja (līdz 1939. g.) – bija Šmidtu dzimta. Mūsdienās muižas pilī vasarās dzīvo LU Ģeogrāfijas un Zemes zinātņu fakultātes studenti, kuriem šeit ir lauku prakšu norises vieta. Kungu māja apskatāma no ārpuses.
