Baltic Cider is returning to Australia — and this time we are heading to Adelaide!

10.12.2025

After a successful first promotional tour to Australia, visiting Melbourne and Sydney, Baltic Cider is now heading to Adelaide. Australian-born Latvian cider maker and owner of Mūrbūdu Cider Brewery, Krišjānis Putniņš, will take part in the 60th Australian Latvian Cultural Days, scheduled from December 26 to December 31, 2025. At the festival, he will present the Baltic Cider brand.

As part of the presentation, festival attendees will have the opportunity to taste craft ciders from four producers — Mūrbūdu Cidery, Sabiles Sidrs, Abuls Cidery, and Tori Cidery. These craft ciders are made from freshly pressed apple juice from local orchards. Presentation attendees will have the chance to indulge in a vibrant cider experience — from crisp, pure apple cider to distinctive infused varieties featuring chokeberries, Japanese quince, and hops. A refreshing non-alcoholic cider will also be available, ensuring a flavor for every palate. This tasting will showcase the flavors and quality of Baltic ciders, giving a memorable experience for both cider lovers and newcomers. The event is expected to attract around 400 participants, mostly members of the Latvian diaspora.

The Australian Latvian Cultural Days is a long-standing festival, organized by the Latvian community in Australia since 1951. It rotates among major cities with Latvian communities, including Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. The program traditionally includes concerts, theatre and folk-dance performances, exhibitions, choir performances, social gatherings, and other cultural events — all aimed at preserving and celebrating Latvian language, culture, and traditions in the diaspora.
