Arī Senču pilskalns, Baznīckalns un Velna gulta. Pirmo reizi minēts 1230. gadā kā viens no senās kuršu zemes Vanemas centriem. Ar šo objektu var sākt Abavas senlejas skaistāko skatu apzināšanu. Līdz pilskalna plakumam ved kāpnes, un no tā redzami senlejas vārti un upes ielejas kreisā krasta nogāze, kuras piekājē izvietojusies Jaunkandava.

The Museum of Francis Trasuns „Kolnasāta”. The museum of the promoter of Latgalian revival,
prominent cultural worker, pastor and politician F. Trasuns (1864 – 1926) was established in his house „Kolnasāta”. There is also an exposition about Jānis Klīdzējs; a collection of old household items. „Kolnasāta”
is the place of many cultural events in Latgale.

(Sonnenuntergänge - ein Haus mit diesem Namen befindet sich 3 km vom Zentrum von Vecpiebalga entfernt an einer malerischen Stelle – auf dem Incēnu-Hügel. Hier gibt es ein Gedächtnismuseum für den bekannten Schriftsteller vieler lettischer Märchen, Kārļis Skalbe (1879- 1945). Es ist das 1926 erbaute Ferienhaus des Dichters und Schriftstellers, der dort von 1926 bis 1945 seine Sommer verbrachte. Das Museum besteht seit 1987. An der Westseite des Hügels „Vaktskalns“mit Ausblick auf den See „Alauksts“ wurden 1992 die Urnen des in Schweden verstorbenen Skalbe und seiner Frau Lizete Skalbe umbestattet, an diesem Ort wurde ein besonderes Denkmal in Form eines steinernen Bootes errichtet. |

Виргская господская усадьба как лен была передана вассалу Ливонского ордена Конраду Нолду. До наших дней сохранился дворец господской усадьбы «Виргас», в котором с 1935 года до наших дней разместилась школа. Во дворце находятся три двери, украшенные красивой резьбой по дереву, с гербами рода Нолдов и портреты баронов. В бывшей клети господской усадьбы в 1983 г. обустроен Дом традиций - теперь Дом культуры. Господскую усадьбу окружает парк, в котором находится место могилы барона Нолда и баронессы с памятником. В центре Вирги установлен сапог Карла XII с двумя направленными друг от друга пушками и ядрами, которые вещают о временах Северной войны, когда в Вирге в 1701 г. был лагерь шведского войска. |

Am rechten Ufer des Flusses Rēzekne befand sich in 9 – 12 Jh. eine alte lettgalische Burg, an deren Stelle hat 1285 der Livländische Orden angefangen, eine zweistöckige Steinburg zu bauen. Nabenan befindet sich das Zentrum der kreativen Dienstleistungen in Ostlettland und das Tourismusinformationszentrum. Entlang der Promenade des Flusses Rēzekne kann man bis zur 500 m weit gelegenen vor kurzem gebauten Konzerthalle GORS (Geist) gehen, die sich durch die moderne Architektur auszeichnet. |

Ļoti savdabīga vieta, ko nekādi nevar dēvēt par tūrisma objektu. Vidsmuiža bija viena no Latgales lielākajām muižām, kuras dominante bija 18. gs. celtā un vēlāk pārbūvētā grāfu Borhu muižas kungu māja. Tagad redzamais muižas kompleksa veidols tapis 19. gs. otrajā pusē. Tajā ietilpst kūtis, staļļi, kalpu māja, klētis, sarga mājiņas, kas izvietotas ap parādes pagalmu. Pēdējais tagad ir stipri aizaudzis. Vecākā saimniecības ēka ir mūra klēts (iespaidīga!), ko cēla 18. gs. Regulāra plānojuma muižas parku veidoja 18. gs. franču dārzu stilā. Kungu māja ir „pamesta” un apskatāma tikai no ārpuses. |

The origins of the castle that was built in the style of Classicism date back to 1784. Later it was rebuilt into a two-story building with a portico with four columns at its centre. A new period in the development of the state began in 1993, when restoration of the buildings began. The estate currently houses a children’s village, while the mansion is now a hotel.

Das Museum befindet sich in Aknīste, an der Kreuzung der Skolas Straße und Miera Straße. Dieses Museum ist noch ein Ort, der bei der Erkundung der Kultur und der Geschichte der Region Sēlija helfen wird. In dem Museum (eingerichtet im Jahr 1988) kann man eine Sammlung von Altertümern (aus der Steinzeit und Bronzezeit) und Gegenstände besichtigen, die über berühmte Persönlichkeiten aus der Gegend und die Kultur der Selen erzählen. Besonders wertvoll ist die Sammlung des Geschirrs der Selen. |

Das Ferienhaus befindet sich an einem landschaftlich schönen Ort am Stausee von Rugāji. Der Wirt züchtet und verarbeitet Fische. Hier werden Tische mit lettgallischen Speisen gedeckt. Die Wirte arbeiten mit Bauern und Fischern zusammen. Lettische Küche: Geräucherte Fische (Karpfen, Aalraupen aus dem Peipussee, Schleien, Welse, Brachsen). Dosen mit Brachsen. Fischsuppe aus Karpfen, Schleien und Brachsen. Gerstengrütze mit geräuchertem Fleisch, selbstgebackenes Roggenbrot, vor Ort hergestellte Käse. Das besondere Gericht: Gulaschsuppe aus Schleien. |

Located in a cultural centre at Brīvības Street 15 in Ogre, the museum was established in 1980 and has a permanent exhibition, “Ogre – a Swimming and Air Spa, Relaxation and Everyday Life, 1920-1940,” which offers a good look at the “golden age” of Ogre, when it was a popular spa. The Baltic Sea gave this territory one of the old names of Jūrkalne – Felixberg, and people still talk about the interesting legend that is the origin of the name. Several wrecked ships have been found in the Baltic Sea off the coast of Jūrkalne. An exhibition in the museum visualises the underwater world as the deck of a ship that has sunk into the depths of the sea. The exhibition focuses on the cultural and historical heritage of underwater Latvia, allowing visitors to learn all about the history of sailing ships, steamships and other objects that have been raised from the depths. Small children will start to learn about the underwater world, and researchers with broader knowledge will find something new here. |

Eine Sandsteinfreilegung mit vielen Bögen, Pfeilern und Nischen. Die Gesamtlänge der Höhle Liepas Lielā Ellīte (Ellīte, Velna ceplis, Velna krāsns, Vella Höhle, Liepmuižas Höhle, Liepas Höhle) beträgt etwas über 20 m, die Höhe – 3,5 m, die Breite – 5 m. Aus der Höhle strömt eine stark sprudelnde Quelle. Man geht davon aus, dass die Höhle begann, sich schon vor 7000 Jahren zu entwickeln. Die Höhle ist sehr zerstört. Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde aus der Höhle der Sand abgebaut. Die Sandsteinfreilegung Liepas Lielā Ellīte ist eine alte Kultstätte. Heutzutage ist dieser Ort wieder gut hergerichtet. |

The Buse (Matkule) castle hill is near the Imula River. From the castle hill and from the opposite shore of the river, you can find one of the loveliest views of Kurzeme’s small rivers. Their appearance is best when trees and other flora are bare and the view is unimpeded. A wonderful view of the Imula valley is also seen on the road to the castle hill – near the Buse homestead.
