A very impressive ensemble that is in terrible shape.  The estate dates back to the 18th and 19th century, with the castle being built in the early 19th century.  Half a century later it was rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style with symmetrical towers and bricks in the cornices.  The estate belonged to the Manteufel-Stzege dynasty.  The vestibule, stairwell and second floor hall still have ornamental ceiling paintings, but visitors are not allowed to enter the building, so they cannot be seen.  Valuable interior design elements include a fireplace from the early 19th century that is decorated with marble elements.  After the expropriation of the castle in 1920 and until 1951, the building housed a forestry school and then an agricultural crafts school.  Opposite the castle was the stable of the state that was built in the style of Classicism with a pediment and mighty columns.  Built in the early 19th century, the stable is no longer used and can only be viewed from the outside.  A very much overgrown park surrounds the complex, and the hillock is the grave of one of the baron’s dogs.

This park was set up to protect the landscape and cultural environment of the Haanja highland. At the central part of the park are the two highest hills in the Baltic States – Suur Munamägi, which stands 318 m above sea level, and Vällamägi, which is 304 m above sea level. The ancient Rõuge River valley (Rõuge ürgorg) is found in the western part of the park. It is 7.5 km long and up to 60 m deep. The valley dates back to the Ice Age, and it has seven lakes, including the deepest one (38 m) in Estonia – Lake Rõuge Suurjärv.

Der Park des Gutes Joniškėlis wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jh. im Landschaftstyp angelegt. Zu Beginn des 19. Jh. erfolgte ein Umbau mit Erweiterung. Durch den Park fließt die Mažupė. Vom Park führt entlang des Fußwegs eine Lindenallee bis zum Städtchen. Vor dem Herrenhaus befindet sich ein großer Platz. Im Park wachsen über 20 Arten einheimischer Bäume und Sträucher und weitere 30 Arten eingeführter Gehölze. Beeindruckend und wertvoll sind zwei Fichten mit schlangenförmigen Ästen und eine Fichte in Nestform. Zudem gibt es eine stattliche Gruppe abendländischer Lebensbäume ('Ellwangeriana'), eine Stieleiche (f. laciniata), einen zweistämmigen Silberahorn, einen Butternussbaum. Im Park gibt es 3 Teiche.

Dabei handelt es sich um Thymian, Phlox, Pfingstrosen, Beinwell, Hartheu, Pfeifenstrauch, Zierquitten, Brennende Liebe, Eisenhut, Dost, Estragon, Schlüsselblume, Rainfarn, Schöllkraut, Alant, Minze, Goldrute, Mädesüß usw. Der längste Pfad in dem energetischen Labyrinth ist 1,7 km lang. Und wenn man alle 5 derzeit vorhandenen Labyrinthe durchlaufen will, kommt man auf knapp 5 Kilometer. Im Park sind 3 geometrische Figuren eingerichtet: Kuppel, Mandala und Merkaba.

Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church of Stoļerova. The construction works of the church were finished in 1999 by the support of dean Butāns. The building is slightly larger than the previous one; the newest (restored) church in Rēzekne district. The church has a specific icon of Our Lady that was transferred from the chapel of Rozenmuiža.
