Маршрут подходит для активных туристов, интересующихся многообразием природной и культурной среды национального парка «Кемери».  Национальный парк «Кемери» (основан в 1997 г.) создан, прежде всего, для защиты водноболотных угодий – мелководного побережья Рижского залива, заросших прибрежных озер, болот, влажных лесов (трясин и др.) и пойменных лугов, как значимых мест произростания многих растений (~ 25 % от видов растений, занесенных в Красную книгу Латвии) и обитания животных, особенно мест скопления гнездящихся и перелетных птиц. На территории парка находится один из крупнейших заболоченных массивов Латвии – Большое Кемерское болото. Заболоченные массивы являются значимым местом образования и выхода сероводородных вод, а также местонахождения лечебных грязей, используемых в медицине, которые в свое время послужили основанием для создания известного курорта «Кемери».

Für Reduzierung der Verschlammung der Flussmündung und Regelung des Flusslaufes wurde im Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts die Ostmole in der Länge von 980 Meter gebaut. Eine Holzpfahlbauweise bildet die Gründung der Mole, die mit Steinen bedeckt ist. Die 2,2 km lange Mole ist heutzutage rekonstruiert und dient als beliebter Platz für Spaziergänge, Erholung und Angeln in allen Jahreszeiten. Von der Mole kann man Vögel beobachten, von Zeit zu Zeit kann man Glück haben und eine Robbe beobachten. Am Anfang der Mole sind zwei Gedenksteine mit Inschrift zu sehen. Die Inschrift lautet, dass den Bau der Mole der Kaiser Alexander II. von Russland (1856) und seinen Thronfolger Nikolaus Alexandrowitsch (1860) besucht haben. Dieses Ereignis erhöht die Bedeutung des Rigaer Hafens im Kontext der damaligen Ostseehandelswege.

The bridge was built in 1906. Part of it was blown up during World War I and later restored. During the Soviet occupation, one needed special permits to cross the bridge. Military ships and other vessels used the canal, because one of the largest military bases in the USSR was sited here. In the summer of 2006, one month before the bridge’s centenary, a Georgian-flagged tanker, the Anna, rammed into the northern support structure of the bridge, and that destroyed the bridge’s turning part beyond recognition. The bridge was renovated and reopened in 2009. You can look at the bridge and cross it at any time.This is a unique engineering monument, and it is the only drawbridge of its kind in the Baltic States. It takes just five minutes to turn the two parts of the bridge.

One of few places in Latvia (around 1 km to the North from Lapmezciems) where used to be beautiful juniper meadows. Since no agriculture activity (grass cutting, cattle grazing) has been implemented in the area, juniper meadows are overgrowing and disappearing. To save the area sustainable management is needed. Slitere National Park with Blue Mountain cliff and Slitere lighthouse is located in short distance from Kadiku nora (Juniper meadow).

Iespējams apskatīt Kroņvircavas muižas kompleksu, kas bija pēdējā Kurzemes un Zemgales hercoga Pētera Bīrona lauku īpašums ar pili.  To pēc hercoga pasūtījuma 1776. - 1785. gadā būvēja galma arhitekts Severīns Jensens. 

No hercoga pils līdz mūsdienām saglabājies vienīgi ziemeļaustrumu korpuss un virtuve kā atsevišķa ēka. Vispilnīgāk no muižas kompleksa ēkām saglabājušās Kavalieru māja, Pārvaldnieka māja, kurā tagad vietu radis projekts “Muižas istabas”, klēts-magazīna, stallis. Kroņvircavas muižas apbūve ir Valsts aizsardzības objekts. Pili ieskāva liels baroka stila parks ar ūdens parteru, kas kā muižas dārzs sākts ierīkot 1693. gadā.
