A biological farm in the lovely nature park of the Ogre River valley. You can tour the farm to see how biological cattle from the Charolais breed are bred. Walk down our nature trails to watch cows grazing in the fields. Visit the little Akmeņupīte stream and the large oak trees that are in the area. You can see the rapids of the Ogre River and, in the spring, broad fields of ramsons. The venue offers tastings of its products, and you can also purchase meat to take along with you. |

Der Komplex befindet sich in der Mitte eines großen Waldes, wo seine Landschaft mit den vielen eingerichteten Teichen angenehm lebendiger gemacht wird. Hier werden lettische Speisen und Seminare über Gastronomie für Gruppen angeboten. Speisen werden auch auf offenem Feuer und großen Pfannen vorbereitet, sie werden geräuchert und gegrillt. Lettische Küche: Kalte oder heiße Tomatensuppe, Lachs in Honigmarinade, Honigfladen (auf offenem Feuer gebacken), verschiedene Pfannkuchen, ländliche Torte, die aus Bio-Produkten gebacken ist. Kaltene is home to a memorial house that has been set up in honour of Andris Kārkliņš, who was known as the first internationally recognised flamenco guitarist of Latvian origin. Known as Andres El Leton, he was a composer, poet, writer and photographer. Visitors will learn all about the artist’s life and work via audio and video recordings. Up on the second floor of the building is a small creative workshop (SIA “Rakstu Raksti,” where people produce applied arts items such as folk costumes, linen products, accessories, souvenirs, etc. They sew apparel and home textiles from linen and other natural materials. The workshop has floristics specialists, and it accepts orders on sewn, knit and crocheted products. Master classes are also available. Visitors will enjoy local produced foodstuffs from the Roja Administrative District (fish, wine, cheese, conserves, jams, teas, etc.). Handicrafts and souvenirs are available for purchase. |

Auf dem Hof werden aus Melisse, Himbeeren, Rainfarn, Frauenmantel, Wegerich und Lindenblüten Kräuterteemischungen und Teebeutel hergestellt (als Souvenirs oder Geschenk). Es gibt eine Imkerei. Die Hausherrin erzählt vom Leben auf dem Land, bietet Führungen zu Heilpflanzen und Imkerei an und zeigt, wie man traditionelle Gehege baut, bietet Verkostungen und Hofverkauf. Der Hof ist als Biohof zertifiziert, sodass großes Augenmerk auf gesunder Lebensführung liegt. Den Kunden werden folgende Tees geboten: Himbeere, Schwarze Johannisbeere, Lindenblüte, Mädesüß, Schafgarbe, Birkenblätter, Weiße Taubnessel usw. |

The Berghof Milk Estate with saunas. The weekend sauna at the estate offers a country sauna and the holiest type of traditional sauna – the black rock sauna. This is a ritual which takes several hours, with handmade switches, massages, scrubs, rinsing and herbal teas from Sieksāte. Visit our rabbit garden where you will see some 40 hopping around, though there are some 100 in all. There are dwarf goats, sheep, a cow, some chickens and special tinker horses from Ireland. Horseback riding is available. |

“Kurzemnieku pirts” (Courlandian Sauna) is found in the Priekule parish and offers individual sauna rituals led by a certified sauna master. The sauna ritual is very calm, purifying the flesh and the mind, helping people to rid themselves of what is not necessary and to prepare for their next steps in life. Guests have access to three two-person glamping tents in a unique place in the Veclaicene Parish, which is right by the border between Latvia and Estonia. The tents are well-equipped with a hardwood bed with a comfortable mattress, two pillows, two large blankets, bed linens, two towels, two duvets, a chest for visitors’ things, two easy chairs on a terrace, and a little table with a bench. Each tent is hooked up to electricity, with available plugs and lights. The territory has a common-use summer kitchen with three lavatories.
