Nice rest in a country house, which is located 2 km from Aizkraukle city and 1.5 km from Aizkraukle railway station. The recreation complex is suitable for relaxation for two or a group of friends, up to 25 people. The holiday home has three separate rooms with double beds. Can accommodate up to 16 people with extra beds. In a separate building there is a party hall with a sauna and a hot tub. There is also a black bath. There are tent and caravan sites in the area. For active recreation, there are bicycle rental, Nordic walking, horse riding, museum of horse saddlery and a mini zoo. |

This is a quick boat ride from Tartu down the Emajõgi River to Piirissaare Island in Lake Peipsi (Peipsi järv). Along the lower reaches of the river are major wetlands which are of enormous importance for birds.

Der See Liepāja ist flach und eutrophisch (etwa 40%) und ist einer der wichtigsten Seen zum Nisten und für den Vogelzug an der Ostseeküste. Mehr als 100 verschiedene Vogelarten wurden hier entdeckt. Der See ist nicht weniger wichtig für Pflanzen, die in salzigen Biotopen gedeihen. An der nordöstlichen Küste des Liepāja-Sees gibt es Auenwiesen, die die Heimat für Haustiere sind, die sich an ein Leben in der Wildnis angepaßt haben. Es gibt auch einen Aussichtturm. Das Dammsystem entlang des südwestlichen Teils des Sees kann man zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad (extrem!) erobern, wobei man viele interessante Aussichten und Landschaften genießen kann.

A comparatively large swamp to the North of the Zaļā dune, this is an important place for sulphurous waters, just as is the case with Zaļais swamp. The swamp is cut in two by the 3.5 km Ķemeri-Antiņciems road, from which interesting landscapes can be seen. The road is not appropriate for cars, however. To the East of Raganu swamp is Lake Putnezers, which is difficult to access. There is a small car park with an information stand on the shore of Lake Melnezers alongside the Ķemeri-Jaunķemeri road. The historical and overgrown Old Ķemeri road can be used to get to the seashore from this location. |

The area of the ancient Piusa River valley that is between the villages of Vana-Vastseliina and Ignasõ is around 15 km long, features some substantial rapids, and offers a view of beautiful Devonian period cliffs. The largest, Härma müür, is 43 metres high and is the highest sandstone cliff in Estonia. There are caves from old mines in the village of Piusa. A small part of the mines, which have tunnels that are more than 10 km long in all, has been tured into a local museum.

The Lake Lubāns, wetland of Lubāns. Lubāns (80.7 km2) is the largest lake in Latvia and the most popular
lake and wetland in Europe. The lake and the wetland has biodiversity; a unique place not only in Latvia,
but also internationally. Nature Reserve is included in the European Union network of protected areas and
NATURA 2000 under the Ramsar Convention criteria as the wetland of international importance. Lubāns wetland,
called marshy meadows, includes bogs, wet meadows and wet forests. In autumn and spring the lake
attracts thousands of migratory waterfowl which is easily to wach from the bird observation towers or the terrace
of water tourism development center.

Der Sumpf, in den Schwefelwasser fließt, befindet sich auf der linken Seite des Abava – Flusstals. Das ist der einzige Ort in Lettland, wo das geschützte Fingerkraut in der Wildnis gefunden wird. Dieser Busch bedeckt etwa 1/5 des geschützten Territoriums. Hier sind Wälder, verschiedene Wiesenarten und Schwefelflüsse, darunter auch jener, der Teufelsauge genannt wird.

Der Kanal der Karaosta und die in diesem Objekt gelegene Station der Seeflote und U-Boot Station wurden auf Befehl der Zar Rußlands vor dem ersten Weltkrieg ausgegraben. Heutzutage ist der Hafen der Unterseeboote ein geschlossenes Territorium und er wird zum wirtschaftlichen Zweck genutzt. Der Kanal von Karaosta ist von der Seite der Pulvera Straße aus, als auch von der Seite der Klapaka Brücke aus zu sehen.

This is one of the most outstanding areas in the entire Baltic States with active underground waterways which still, to this very day, dissolve local gypsum rock. Parts of the area collapse regularly, and there are legends about all of this. Underwater rivers, streams, the so-called Karvės (Cow) cave, etc., can be seen in the area.

Near Mākoņkalns hill there is a trail that is mowed in the summer and leads to several historical rocks – Plakanais (Flat) rock, Āža muguras (Ram's Back) rock (on which you can clamber), and the Jaunstašuļi Velna pēdas (Devil's Footprint) rock, on the surface of which is a shape similar to a human footprint. There are signs along the side of the road leading to the trail. |

Der Bauernhof Luhtre wurde im Jahre 1874 errichtet und ist heute ein Ferienhof mit bequemen Speicherzimmern, Saunas und Aussenbad. Die Gäste werden mit traditionellen Speisen aus Bioküche verwöhnt. Im Museumszimmer von Luhtre wird die Geschichte des Hofes präsentiert – angefangen von der feinen Frauen- und Babykleidung bis zu Werkzeug.
