The flats of Saules Kvartāls (Block of Sun) are found in the city centre and at a 15-minute walk from the Ventspils Olympics Centre and the skateboard park, 10 minutes from the Reņķa garden, 15 minutes from a children’s playground and other tourist destinations. The nearest store is just 100 metres away. There are three types of rooms at Saules Kvartāls – a studio flat for a family, a small room for two, and a two-room studio type flat. All of the apartments have a television set and WIFI, as well as a small kitchen where you can boil water in a kettle. There is also a stove along with kitchen equipment and utensils. All guests have a common use grill with the necessary equipment to use free of charge. There are also garden furnishings, a trampoline for the kids, and a sauna. |

This is a chance to learn about the life of a beekeeper. You’ll be given an appropriate costume to watch bees in their hive, walk down the trail of bees, and climb a tree with the help of a hoist. You can make was candles and buy beekeeping products such as honey, pollen, etc. A café is open during the summer, and there are spots for picnicking. Latvian cuisine: Bean and dumpling soup, pancakes with jam, homemade lemonade, herbal teas. A special dish: “Bukstiņi porridge that is enjoyed by fairies.” |

A lovely and quiet family farm 12 km from Valmiera offers Latvian sauna rituals, various spa procedures, and massages (classical, medicinal, honey-based, etc.). This biological farm (Bio 05-049-2008) grows berries such as strawberries and summer and autumn raspberries, as well as vegetables and grains. Visitors can pick and eat berries and look at the garden. The owners also breed cattle and have a store at which biological vegetables and fruits from the farm itself and from others can be bought. During the hay season during the summer visitors can spend the night in bales of hay.

Dieser Hof ist eine der ersten und größten Ziegenzüchtereien in Lettland. Während der Führung kann man der fesselnden Erzählung des Wirtes über die Ziegenzüchtung und die Herstellung von Ziegenmilchprodukten (Milch, Käse, Kefir) zuhören, die man hier auch kaufen und verkosten kann. In Lettland gibt es seit der Jahrhundertwende 19.-20. Jh. eine einheimische Ziegenrasse. |

The “Baldone Sauna for Friends” weekend house offers families, couples, good friends and small groups rooms for leisure amidst a mighty forest of beautiful fir and pine trees during the summer and the winter. Fans of sauna rituals can enjoy a sauna according to the Latvian style, with aromatic herbal teas, a salt or coffee scrub, and a bucket of cold water for contrast. Outside is a tub of hot water for leisure and conversations during which the tops of the pine trees, the moon and the stars can be watched. Guests have access to a large living room with a fireplace and a well-appointed kitchenette. There are four bedrooms – a yellow one with six single beds and a double bed, a lavatory and a shower; as well as violet, reddish and green rooms with double beds that share a lavatory and a shower. There is room for as many as 18 people in all. |

Ein renovierter Bauernhof aus dem 19. Jahrhundert auf der Insel Muhu. Das Haus befindet sich in der Nähe von dem historischen Dorf Koguva. Im Gästehaus sind drei Schlafzimmer und ein Gästezimmer eingerichtet. Separat liegen zwei Häuser mit einem Plumpsklo und einer Sauna mit Dusche zur gemeinsamen Nutzung.
