Tiskādi Orthodox Church is the cultural monument of the local significance. The construction works of the building lasted from 1829 to 1878. The
church was reconstructed in 2008. The church has antique icons and the library
of sacred literature.

The tower is on the banks of the little Tērvete River, with a view of the river valley and surrounding forests. Good views of the Tērvete River valley are also available from the nearby Zviedru Hill and the Tērvete castle hill. This is the 11th largest Estonian island, and its central section is covered by a broadleaf forest (linden, oak, elm and other trees) that is more than 100 years old. Along the shores, the Abruka Island has meadows and small areas of wetlands. Only the northern part of the island is populated. Schon mehrere Jahre züchten die Wirte in sechs Teichen der Wirtschaft Karpfen, Schleien und Orfe. In der Wintersaison kann man Fische in besonderen Becken des Fischhauses fangen, die eingerichtet sind, indem ein Bogen des Flusses Bērzene überschwemmt wurde. Die Wirtschaft bietet Einsicht und Vorlesungen in der biologischen Wirtschaft und Züchtung von Rindern für Fleischherstellung, darunter auch in der genetischen Arbeit mit der Erhaltung einer reinen Rasse, sowie Angeln in frischer Luft. Für Seminare und Vorlesungen sind im Fischhaus ein Seminarraum und eine Küche gebaut worden. In der Wirtschaft befindet sich und wird ein Pfad erhalten, der Oskars Kalpaks gewidmet ist und der ein geologisch und landschaftlich interessantes Gelände durchquert. |
