This trail's purpose lies on the fact that herbal therapy is the oldest known system of medicine. Being outside, in fresh air, in nature affects our health positively. While hiking with a phytotherapist you will get to know more about the nature's wild herbs that can help our livelihood and also do some light exercises. If you want, you not can only walk the trail but also relax in a sauna or/and visit a workshop.

The manor is in Basi in the Gudenieki Parish of Kuldīga District, some 20 km from the district centre.  The manor was built in the 19th century, burned down in 1905, and then restored.  A former residence for servants and an old magazine barn have survived.  The surrounding park covers 4.5 ha, and the estate is a cultural and historical monument of local importance.  The barn was fully reconstructed in 2009 and 2010 with co-financing from the European Union, and today it is the Basi Culture Centre. In 2019, there is to be an interactive exhibition about Suiti events in Gudenieki -- baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc.

Redāns ir 19. gadsimta beigās celtā Liepājas Jūras cietokšņa daļa, kur notikušas Latvijai nozīmīgas cīņas. Lai gan uzbūvētie nocietinājumi ap Karostu tika atzīti par stratēģisku kļūdu un vairums no tiem saspridzināti, Redāns palicis teju neskarts. Tā ir arī vienīgā nocietinājuma daļa, kur notikusi reāla karadarbība.Par liecina ložu šautie caurumi sienās.

1919. gada 14. novembrī šeit notika brīvības cīņas par neatkarīgu Latviju, aizstāvot Liepāju pret Bermonta karaspēku. 14. novembra rītā, pārejot aizsalušo Tosmares ezeru, bermontiešu kājnieki ieņēma Redānu. Taču dažu stundu laikā liepājnieki veica niknu pretuzbrukumu, un vāciešiem nācās atkāpties.

Jūnijā, jūlijā un augustā katru dienu plkst. 11.00–17.00 pie Redāna gaidīs zinošs gids, kas būs gatavs pastāstīt vairāk par Liepājas cietoksni un vēsturiskajiem notikumiem Karostā. Cena – 2 EUR no personas.

Here you will learn about home-based manufacturers, farms, companies and others in Latgale that produce various dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese, ice cream, etc.  Start in Preiļi, which is known as Latvia’s cheese capital.  The route passes along the Teiči nature reserve, with a viewing tower at the side of the road, also crossing Lubāna wetlands, which are of European importance for environmental protection.  Drive on to Rēzekne (churches, a monument to Māra of Latgale, “Gors,” “Zeimuļš”, etc.).  Nature lovers will love the Rāzna National Park with Lake Rāzna, Mākoņkalns hill and the master ceramicist Evalds Vasiļevskis.  From Dagda, head to Aglona, which is a centre for Roman Catholic worshippers, and Lake Rušons before returning to your starting point.

Das Gotteshaus ist von 1937 bis 1940 gebaut worden und als sein Prototyp hat die Auferstehungskirche in Kaunas in Litauen gedient. Die Kirche ist ein einschiffiges Gebäude, das in geometrisch rechteckigen Formen gebaut ist, die dem Stil Funktionalismus charakteristisch sind. In der Kirche befindet sich ein großer Altar aus Holz, eine Kanzel und zwei Seitenaltäre (am Anfang des 19. Jh. hergestellt), die früher die Kirche von Rokišķi geschmückt haben. Aus der Kirche von Rokišķi wurden die beiden Altäre hier gebracht, weil in der Kirche von Rokišķi eine neue Innenausstattung hergestellt wurde. Im Jahr 1997 hat die Kirche die Blaue Fahne des Europäischen Kulturerbes erhalten. Neben dem Gotteshaus befinden sich das in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jhs. aus roten Ziegeln gebaute Tor der katholischen Kirche und der Park der Selen.

Die Bauernwirtschaft Kaigari befindet sich in der Gemeinde Mežotne der Region Bauska. Sie ist auf die Züchtung von Samen der Getreidepflanzen spezialisiert. In der Wirtschaft werden aktiv die Möglichkeiten der EU-Projekte genutzt, die geholfen haben, moderne landwirtschaftliche Produktionstechnik zu kaufen.
