This is a cemetery that was originated in the Middle Ages and used until the beginning of the 20th century.  A mossy stone fence surrounds the cemetery.  Interesting elements in the cemetery include the grave of Heinrihs Jakobsons (1832-1911), who was the first schoolteacher in Mazirbe (the old metal cross is to the left of the main gate), a pine tree of national importance and has a circumference of 3.17 metres (during the Soviet Union someone drilled a hole in the trunk of the tree to access honey), the grave of Niks Freimanis (1845-1908), who is said to have been the prototype for a character in a story and play by Marģers Zariņš, and the Werewolf Grave, which relates to countless ghost stories, including the claim that it is the only known gravesite of a werewolf in Latvia.

This is the ancient shore of the Baltic Ice Lake.  We can only imagine the landscape 10,000 years ago, when the Kurzeme peninsula was covered with vegetation reminiscent of a tundra, and waves from the icy lake dashed against the ancient shoreline.  We know that the lake was full of icebergs of various sizes.  Today the cliff is more than 20 km long (some 9 km of it are in the Slītere National Park), and it is as much as 42 m high.  It is the most impressive cliff of its type in all of Latvia.  At the foot of the cliff are the Irve flatlands (the name comes from the Liv 'īrva' or 'īra', both of which refer to deer).  The flatlands are the former bottom of the Baltic Ice Lake.  The Blue Hills are crossed by many small streams and rivers (Pitragupe, Lorumupe, Kaļķupe, Mazupe, etc.).  Their valleys are the basis for a branched and very complicated system of waterways which look particularly impressive when the trees are bare.  In many places the cliffs and valleys display small areas of sandstone from the Narva suite.  These are Latvia's oldest sediment cliffs that can be seen above ground.  Although the Blue Hills are very impressive in scope, there are only a few places where there are important viewing areas (a viewing tower at the Dundaga-Mazirbe road, the view from the Šlītere lighthouse, the view from Mežlīdumi).  The mightiness of the ancient shoreline can truly be enjoyed from the Cirste-Mazirbe road, the Cirste-Riepaldi road, Mežlīdumi and the Vīdala-Melnsils road).  It is worth visiting the area in the springtime, when the slopes of the Blue Hills seem to be sinking under the fresh greenery.

Dieser Biergarten befindet sich gegenüber der Brauerei Brenguļi, wo das Bier (ungefiltertes, nicht pasteurisiertes) nach dem Wissen der Vorfahren aus den Getreidekörnern gebraut wird, die von den lokalen Bauern gezüchtet worden sind. Im Biergarten kann man das helle und das dunkle Bier von Brenguļi kaufen, sowie lettische Speisen genießen.

Lettische Küche: Graue Erbsen mit Speck, Würste mit Kraut, Eis von Rujiena.

The holiday houses are located near Lake Ieva, 30 m from the lake shore. On the 1st floor of the holiday house - lounge with fireplace and glazed veranda, sauna (50.00 EUR / evening), small kitchenette, toilet. Outside-small terrace overlooking the lake. On the 2nd floor there are 2 isolated rooms and 10 beds. By the lake - a fireplace, a well-groomed swimming area with a footbridge. Boats and catamarans can be rented.

The farm produces large amounts of nectar plants, including mustard plants, clover, lacy phacelia and buckwheat. These are used for apiaries and seeds. You can take a tour and learn about the lives of bees. You can also taste and purchase honey made from willow, buckwheat, heather and other sources. The honeys have won a series of prizes.

Kafejnīca "Dižjūra" atrodas Mazirbē, Lībiešu tautas namā. Atvērta vasaras sezonā. 

Befindet sich südlich der Stadt Koknese auf einer Insel mit einem Verbindungsweg zum Ufer, die von den Stauwässern des Wasserkraftwerkes Pļaviņas umgeben ist. Das fundamentale Objekt unter freiem Himmel wurde zum Gedenken an all jene Bewohner Lettlands errichtet, die unter den totalitären Regimen gelitten haben. Die ersten Arbeiten erfolgten hier 2008. Der Autor dieses Garten-Landschaft Projektes ist der japanische Landschaftsarchitekt Shunmyo Masuno. Obwohl der Garten noch nicht fertig gestellt ist, wurde er schnell zu einem beliebten Touristik-Objekt. Das erste eigenständige Bauwerk, das hier errichtet wurde, ist die Aussichtsterasse mit Blick auf die Burgruine Koknese und die lutherische Kirche. Durch dieses offene Konzept kann man bei jedem wiederholten Besuch hier etwas Neues entdecken. So entsteht hier ein wichtiger historischer Gedenkort des lettischen Volkes, an dem sich auch Besucher beteiligen dürfen, wenn sie einen Stein mitbringen und ihn dort niederlegen.
