Одно из сравнительно редких мест, где на побережье можно понаблюдать за рыбаками в работе. Ветряная мельница «Клаюми» (1930 г.) является одним из самых высоких сельских строений. Рядом с мельницей находится Юрмалциемский Туристический информационный пункт, информационный стенд и место для отдыха.Здесь же видны старые деревянные корпуса барж, брошенных рыбаками. Экспозиция«Старинные предметы жителей Юрмалциемса» находится в восточной части поселка, где в деревянном сарае представлены собранные местными энтузиастами предметы быта и орудия труда окрестных жителей.

The Kubalu school was opened in 1843, and for 28 years it was the only school for the children of peasants at the Dundaga Estate.  This is the oldest log schoolhouse in Latvia, with old benches, blackboards, ink and pens inside.  There are examples of texts written by schoolchildren in the 19th century.  There can be a few lessons that are learned at such an old school.  In the attic is an exhibition featuring the teacher and writer E. Dinsbergs, and they speak to the experiences of the long life of that man.  A restored ancillary building offers an exhibition about the history of the school, along with a collection of ethnographic objects.  Trails on the estate mark out the way in which the land was once used.  Visitors are welcome to examine the landscape and rest a bit, as well.

Smārde ist ein alter Ort, der schon in den Quellen aus dem 13. Jh. erwähnt worden ist. Heute ist Smārde eine kleine Ortschaft mit einem Bahnhof und einem Geschäft. Nordöstlich von Smārde – im Moor von Smārde – befinden sich die ehemaligen Torfgewinnungsstellen. Während des Ersten Weltkriegs befand sich unweit von Smārde die Frontlinie, von der auch die Gedenkstätten in der nächsten Umgebung zeugen.

In Ugāle im Haus Silmači ist ein kleines Museum eingerichtet worden. Die Besucher haben die Möglichkeit in Begleitung des Einrichters des Museums Andrejs Ķeizers den Niederlassungsplatz der Kompanie 2 des Battailons von Rubeņi, einen Bunker und die Kampfplätze von oben erwähnten militärischen Gruppierung zu besichtigen.

All that remains today is the governor’s house in which the Latvian author Rūdolfs Blaumanis (1863-1908) lived from 1885 until 1887, and a stable built of fieldstones.  The Central Daugava Forestry Centre of the Latvian State Forests company is located in the building.  The stone gates of the Koknese High School where once the gates of the estate.  The buildings can mostly be viewed from the outside.

Tās krastus grezno dolomīta un smilšakmens atsegumi, kas atklāj zemes vēstures lappuses 350-400 miljonu gadu tālā pagātnē, kad Latvijas teritoriju klāja jūra. Velobraucieniem taka nav piemērota!

Die Dörfer der Altgläubigen befinden sich heute kilometerlang am Ufer von Peipussee. Die rund 8 km lange Dorfstrasse (Dõrfer Kasepää, Tiheda, Kükita und Raja) reicht bis zu der Stadt Mustvee und ist heute einer der wenigsten Orten in Estland, wo die Altgläubigen leben. Strassendorf zusammen mit Gebetshäusern und Kulturerbe ist ein attraktives Ausflugsziel und bietet den Gästen stimmungsvolle Erlebnisse.

The barrow which offers a good view is at the northern end of the Dunduri meadows – at the end of Melnragi. It is an artificial barrow which follows along with the bed of the little Slampe River. The meadows are home to livestock allowed to live in the wild, and you can see a bit of the restored Slampe. The view is particularly interesting during flooding season, when the surrounding wetlands become saturated. This is a location for bird-watching.

Unser Reiseleiter wird Sie am Flughafen von Riga empfangen. Abhängig von Ihrer Flugzeit werden wir eine Führung in der Altstadt und im Zentralmarkt von Riga haben, die auf der Liste des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes eingetragen sind. Am nächsten Tag besuchen wir einen Kartoffelanbauer in der Nähe von Iecava, sowie einen erfolgreichen Landwirtschaftsunternehmen in Tervete, das Pferdezucht, Bierbrauen, Getreidezucht, Milchwirtschaft und Bioenergiegewinnung verbindet. Wir besuchen einen der größten Kräuterzüchter und Kräuterteehersteller. Nach einem Fachtag verkosten wir traditionelle lettische Gerichte und Bier in einem traditionellen Lokal in Riga. Wir besuchen zwei Viehzüchter in der Umgebung von Sigulda und Cesis, steigen auf den Turm der Burg von Turaida und unternehmen einen Spaziergang in der reizvollen Altstadt von Cesis. Danach besuchen wir zwei Bio-Schäfereien in der Nähe von Valka und übernachten in der Mühle von Koni, wo Wolle, warme Decken und Bettwäsche immer noch traditionell hergestellt werden. In Estland besuchen wir Getreidezüchter in der Region um Valga, treffen uns mit dem estnischen Verband der Landwirte, besichtigen Tartu und fahren nach Tallinn mit ihrer malerischen Altstadt. Wir besuchen eine Milchwirtschaft in Saku und beenden unsere Tour im Nationalpark Lahemaa.
