The International Rural Tourism Workshop took place in Riga, Latvia on June 2-3, 2004. The Workshop was organised by the Latvian Country Tourism Association "Lauku ceļotājs" under patronage of EuroGites (European Federation of Farm and Village Tourism) and WTO (World Tourism Organisation) and with the support of Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia. 260 participants attended the workshop – a half of them were foreign guests representing 30 countries in Europe and Asia.
