This tour is suitable only for experienced hikers. The itinerary circles the Suurupi Peninsula where the dense forests conceal the military heritage of different eras. The Baltic Coastal Hiking Route meanders through overgrown and rocky seacoasts, birch groves, along former pioneer camps and sand-stone cliffs protecting coves with sharp capes. At the end of the itinerary, one of the most astounding outcrops of the Estonian littoral rises before your eyes – the Rannamõisa Cliffs, which gives views of Kakumäe Bay and Peninsula and the towers of Tallinn’s Old Town

One of the few places in Latvia where there are so many well-organised pathways. The region is known for castle hills, the location where the great Latvian author Anna Brigadere (1861-1933) lived and worked, the storybook character figures that are scattered around that area, a great forest, an arboretum, a museum of history, a viewing tower, landscapes, etc. This has been recognised as the most family-friendly place in the country.

Одна из старейших ливских деревень, которая упоминается уже в 1387 году. Древняя дорога из усадьбы Дундага в Сикрагс существовала уже в средневековые времена. В 17-ом веке в Сикрагсе был один из самых важных малых портов в северном Курземе, в который заходили корабли из Англии, Голландии и Любека, перевозящие уголь, зерно и другие товары. До Первой мировой войны действовали пять производств по переработке рыбы (кильки), в 20-30 годы 20-го века в деревне рыбной ловле занимались около 55 рыбаков. В Сикрагсе родилась деятель культуры ливского происхождения Хильда Грива (Цербаха, 1910-1984), капитан дальнего плавания Карлис Анбакс (1884-1937), баптистский священник Карлис Лацеклис (1904-1970), знаток ливского языка и традиций Петерис Дамбергс (1909-1987), родилась художник-график Байба Дамберга (1957). Сегодня Сикрагс является национальным памятником культуры. Деревню пересекает велосипедный маршрут узкоколейной железной дороги с мемориальным камнем на месте станции. Сикрагс, как и следующие деревни в восточном направлении, расположен в Национальном парке Слитере.

Усадьба Рикава является национальным историческим памятником. Первоначально она принадлежала семье дворян Яновских. Во 2-й половине 18 века поместье купил польский дворянин Михаил Рик. Усадебный дом построен в 1870 – 1875 гг. в неоготическом стиле, из красного кирпича, который изготавливали в Рикаве. С 1926 года в поместье расположена школа. Внутри помещения сохранились богато украшенная деревянная лестница и оригинальные фрагменты декора интерьера. В бывшем господском доме устроена школьная мастерская.

There are six islands in the Great Baltezers lake – the Auzu, Priežu, Mazā, Liepu, Ropažu and Meldru islands. These are distinguished by a great diversity of plants, including forests of broadleaf trees, black alders and pines. The territory can be surveyed quite well from the side of the Ādaži Lutheran Church. The Great Baltezers lake is a popular place for fishing, including ice fishing during the winter.

One of the largest karst areas in Estonia is found here. The unique Witch’s well is one of the most interesting parts of this area. During spring floods (not every year, and for only a short period of time), the well erupts with underground river waters to create an unusually powerful karst stream that can pump out as much as 100 litres per hour.

At the Aizkraukle Lutheran church along the upper part of the shores of the ancient Daugava River valley, there is a bit of an old road from which one of the most beautiful views of the central section of the river can be seen, particularly when the trees are bare. Approximately one kilometre to the North-west is the Aizkraukle castle hill, which offers a no less impressive view.

This small restricted area protects the Swedish juniper and the lime meadows in which it grows. There is a marked circular trail which allows visitors to study one of the few but excellent stands of juniper in Latvia. The bushes are 50 to 70 years old, and all around them are interesting habitats, plants and animals. Natural stands of juniper in the Baltic States are the result of farm work such as reaping, chopping, etc., as well as of herding of sheep and other livestock. A small part of the area is still “managed” by sheep. Unfortunately many junipers have died because of overgrowing of territory.

Construction of the church began in 1830 thanks to money donated by nobleman Ludvigs Šabanskis.  The Baroque stone church is surrounded by a restored stone fence, and inside there are icons including "Heart of Jesus," "Christ's Suffering," and "St Joseph."  The church is not open to the public on a daily basis.

Druvienas muižas pirmsākumi ir meklējami 17. gs. beigās. Tagad redzamā apbūve ir veidojusies 19. – 20. gs. Līdz mūsdienām ir saglabājusies muižas pils (1898. g.) un saimniecības ēkas – klētis, kūtis, kalpu mājas. Muižas pilī 20. gs. 50. gados izvietoja pamatskolu. Diemžēl sākotnējie ēkas interjeri nav saglabājušies. Pili ieskauj parks. Šobrīd ēkā atrodas Druvienas Latviskās dzīvesziņas centrs, kas piedāvā dažādas aktivitātes un radošās darbnīcas.
