The area is in the centre of the Teirumnīki swamp, alongside a lake of the same name. There is a wooden footpath that crosses the swamp (800 metres). This is an excellent opportunity to study a high swamp, a swamp lake, and the surrounding environment.

A small and forested territory with sulphurous springs, among which the most popular one is the Ellīte sulphur spring. It has sulphurous water with a low level of minerals, and the water supposedly has medicinal properties. The area around the stream is well-appointed, and a pathway leads to it. The stream is considered to be the source of the Iecava River. The restricted area is there to protect biotopes and protected plants which are in the area.

This is one of the few craftswomen in Latvia who does not use a potter’s wheel in her work. Instead she works in the “snail” or “sausage” technique that was typical of the Bronze Age. Her artworks are distinguished by a diversity of form and functionality. Children can attend master’s classes. You can take tours, take part in the opening of the kiln, and purchase fumigated ceramics products. |

В1699 в центре Нюкши Пасиенские доминиканские монахи построили часовню, на месте которой в 1765 году помещик Хилзен возвел новую церковь. Помещения были маленькие, и в 1922 - 1926 гг. на фундаменте старой церкви строится новая и большая – теперешняя церковь, которую называют одним из самых красивейших деревянных храмов Латгалии. В здании находится центральный алтарь работы второй четверти XVIII века и два боковых алтаря работы примерно 1700 г. Церковь можно осмотреть изнутри. |

Documents show that the first windmill was built here in the 13th century along with the Kuldīga Castle. During the rule of Duke Jacob, gunpowder was manufactured at the windmill, and it later became the first place in Kurzeme where paper was manufactured. The building took on its current appearance during the 19th century. During the Soviet occupation, a metal processing workshop was in it. |

This is one of the most lovely and expressive castle hills in Latvia, with a very fine view of territory all the way to Lithuania. According to Ernests Brastiņš, a researcher of castle hills in Latvia, this was the site of the Semigalian Sidrabene castle. There are no improvements in the area.

After a big storm in 2005, the nature trail of the Randu meadows was restored. It is about 4 km long, and there is a bird-watching tower which offers a fine view of unique shoreline meadows with small lagoons and areas of reeds. It is a fine place to watch migrating birds. This is part of the Northern Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve (ZBR).

This is an important territory to protect the little gull during spring migration. It is opposite the Salacgrīva, Limbaži, Saulkrasti and Carnikava administrative districts, with a total area of 58,600 hectares.

The Jelgava Castle stands between the Lielupe and Driksa rivers. The Baroque castle was designed by the well known Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, and this was the most important piece of early work that he did. The Latvian Agriculture University is housed in the castle today. A museum was established in 1968. +371-6300-5617. The socle story of the south-eastern wing has the graves of rulers from the Duchy of Courland – members of the Kettler and Byron dynasties, which ruled from 1569 to 1791. There are 18 restored sarcophagi here. |

The renovated historic distillery at Mooste Manor (1909) is home to the Estonian Photo Tourism Centre. The guesthouse on the second floor of Mooste Distillery offers cosy rooms with all modern conveniences. |

Парк создан с целью сохранения уникальных ландшафтов древней долины Даугавы, биологического многообразия и богатейшего культурно-исторического наследия. Наибольшую высоту берега реки достигают в т.н. «Воротах Даугавы», где возвышаются Верверский и Слутишкский обрывы. С Приедайнской смотровой вышки открывается вид на древнюю долины Даугавы с высоты птичьего полета. В 2015 году в Васаргелишках и на горе Лаздукалнс были построены новые смотровые вышки. You can also produce your own souvenirs with various techniques, including the potter’s wheel and the engraving technique, making use of pre-prepared moulds. The Gauja is the most beautiful river in Latvia, with an impressive river valley that is up to 80 metres in depth. Picturesque sandstone outcrops rise above the river. The Gauja is a calm river, with just a few small rapids. Leisure boating is perfect here. Between Cesis and Sigulda, the Gauja flows through the Gauja National Park . There are several well-appointed facilities for boaters on the banks of the river, with benches, tables, places for campfires, firewood and information stands.Several interesting heritage sites on the way - Ligatne Oldfashioned ferry, Turaida medieval castle and Krimulda Manor. |
